Supervised by HR Manager, the position will be based in Maseru, Lesotho.
SECURE Project Description:
The USAID Sustaining Epidemic Control through Unified Prevention (SECURE) program is a five-year activity that seeks to build on this positive momentum by providing USAID a flexible, locally led response differentiated by target population and built on our record of success in Lesotho, existing presence across the target geography, and FHI 360โs deep bench of technical expertise. Our approach seeks to strengthen the system that provides integrated primary health care (PHC), health promotion, health systems strengthening and preventive services and transitions leadership to key government-led services and local implementers. Our partners offer complementary expertise and trusted relationships with the Government of Lesotho (GOL), stakeholders, and communities. Our team will serve as mentors, trainers, advisors, and facilitators to bolster local partner and government capacity, skills, and tools to lead the HIV prevention response toward reaching, maintaining, and sustaining HIV epidemic control.
Job Description:
Provide operational support to implement effective functional Human Resources (HR) processes for FHI 360 Lesotho in team functional areas, including recruitment, employee relations, benefits administration, compensation, HRIS and training.
Key Responsibility Areas:
- Serves as an experienced resource to the HR team and employees in multiple areas to include: HRIS, compensation, benefits, recruiting, payroll, and training & development.
- Functions as initial point of contact for employees with HR-related questions.
- Processes forms and system updates related to new employees, change-of- status, performance evaluations, benefits changes, separations, merit increases, etc.
- Manages and maintains accurate employeesโ data in HRIS.
- Assists with training and development programs as needed.
- Collates monthly payroll documentation in line with the set deadlines and submit for payroll input onto payroll system.Co-ordinates new hires and separation forms submissions to different offices
- Keeps personnel files up to date in line with FHI 360 requirements.
- Administers Recruitment Management System, Workday by supporting full recruitment cycle.
- Support new hire orientation and ensure all relevant documents are included on orientation package.
- Follows-up on employee timesheets and leave management in liaison with the HR Manager.
- Supports employee performance management processes in-country.
- Ensures that contracts of permanent and temporary staff are prepared and filed.
- Maintains up to date staff details for the Country Office.
- Conducts exit interviews with exiting staff and loads data on workday.

- Strong understanding of local labor laws/legislations.

- Ability to pay attention to details.
Required Qualifications, Experience/Skills:
- Degree in Human Resources or recognized related fields.
- 3-5 years of experience providing HR support in an office setting.
- Proficiency with MS Office Suite (Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, Access) and HRIS / Payroll systems.
- Prior work experience in a non-governmental organization (NGO).
- Ability to handle oral and written communications independently.
- Ability to communicate effectively and tactfully with all levels of staff, individuals from diverse cultures, and the public.
- Handles routine administrative projects for HR office.
- Ability to recognize situations that deviate from accepted practice.
