To Empower Customers, PDEP has initiated several projects in partnerships with local organizations to strengthen the digital and financial literacy and financial capabilitiess of Solomon Islanders. The intern will be supporting the partner organizations with this project.
ย  Duties and Responsibilities

Digital and Financial Literacy โ€“ Module Development
๏‚ท Support the team to research, draft and structure DFL content
๏‚ท Support the team with preparing educational materials and preparing for the delivery as needed

Literacy Outreach
๏‚ท Assist the team with planning and coordinating outreach and education sessions, for example by supporting with travel arrangements, taking attendance, and attending to matters as they arise.

Communications and Knowledge Management
๏‚ท Support the collection and synthesis of information during the literacy project and outreach
๏‚ท Support in the drafting of communication and knowledge management materials on the project
๏‚ท Support the team with report writing

ย  Required Skills and Experience
ย  Education:

Candidate must be enrolled in a degree programme in Economics, Finance, Law, Development Studies, International Relations, Gender Studies, Business Administration, Social Science, Political Science, Law, or related fields.

Applicants to the UNCDF/UNDP internship programme must at the time of application meet one of the following requirements:
o Be enrolled in a graduate school programme (second university degree or higher)
o Be enrolled in the final academic year of a first university degree programme (minimum bachelor's level or equivalent);ย 
o Have graduated with a university degree (as defined in (a) and (b) above) and, if selected, must start the internship within one year of graduation.

Experience:

โ€ข Experience in development projects and donor agencies will be of advantage, however not mandatory.
โ€ข Demonstrate strong background knowledge of research, particularly on topics related to finance or digital, in the Pacific.
โ€ข Ability to operate Microsoft packages including MS Teams, and a passion to work with a regional team.
โ€ข Self-starter; organized; able to multitask, balance multiple responsibilities, team player and work to deadlines.
โ€ข Strong report writing skills in areas of research and policy briefs on development issues is mandatory.
โ€ข A brief understanding of multimedia, operations and overall project support will be of advantage.
