Mission and objectivesThe United Nations Volunteers (UNV) programme contributes to peace and development through volunteerism worldwide. We work with partners to integrate qualified, highly motivated and well supported UN Volunteers into development programming and promote the value and global recognition of volunteerism.
ContextThis task is part of a broader initiative to strengthen the engagement of Organizations of Persons with Disabilities (OPDs) in volunteer opportunities across Europe and Central Asia. Through OPD mapping and outreach, we aim to increase visibility, foster partnerships, and ensure meaningful representation of persons with disabilities in volunteerism and decision-making processes. The collected data will contribute to inclusive talent acquisition strategies and support the development of a comprehensive OPD network to enhance long-term collaboration and knowledge-sharing. This initiative aligns with global efforts to advance disability inclusion, ensuring that volunteer opportunities are accessible and representative of diverse communities. Volunteers will work in a collaborative and impact-driven environment, engaging with disability-inclusive development, stakeholder outreach, and international engagement strategies. Their contributions will directly support the organizationโs mission of promoting equity, inclusion, and meaningful participation in volunteerism.
