5 Steps to get a job in the United Nations

Mission and objectivesUNODC's mission is to contribute to global peace and security, human rights and development by making the world safer from drugs, crime, corruption and terrorism.

ContextThe United Nations Office at Vienna (UNOV), together with the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC), is committed to fostering a diverse, accessible, and inclusive workplace in line with the UN Disability Inclusion Strategy (UNDIS) and the Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities (CRPD). The volunteerโ€™s contributions will support internal staff sensitization, visibility of inclusion efforts, and equitable recruitment outreach across UNOV/UNODC. Volunteers should be aware that while the assignment is fully remote, the HRMS team is based in Vienna, Austria, and operates in a multicultural and multilingual context. Flexibility, cultural sensitivity, and a commitment to disability rights and inclusive communication are essential to succeed in this role.
