Organizational Context

The International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies (IFRC) is the worldโ€™s largest humanitarian organization, with a network of 191-member National Societies (NSs). The overall aim of IFRC is โ€œto inspire, encourage, facilitate, and promote at all times all forms of humanitarian activities by NSs with a view to preventing and alleviating human suffering and thereby contributing to the maintenance and promotion of human dignity and peace in the world.โ€ IFRC works to meet the needs and improve the lives of vulnerable people before, during and after disasters, health emergencies and other crises.

IFRC is part of the International Red Cross and Red Crescent Movement (Movement), together with its member National Societies and the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC). The work of IFRC is guided by the following fundamental principles: humanity, impartiality, neutrality, independence, voluntary service, unity, and universality.

IFRC is led by its Secretary General, and has its Headquarters in Geneva, Switzerland. The Headquarters are organized into three main Divisions: (i) National Society Development and Operations Coordination; (ii) Global Relations, Humanitarian Diplomacy and Digitalization; and (iii) Management Policy, Strategy and Corporate Services.

IFRC has five regional offices in Africa, Asia Pacific, Middle East and North Africa, Europe, and the Americas. IFRC also has country cluster delegations and country delegations throughout the world. Together, the Geneva Headquarters and the field structure (regional, cluster and country) comprise the IFRC Secretariat.

IFRC has a zero-tolerance policy on conduct that is incompatible with the aims and objectives of the Red Cross and Red Crescent Movement, including sexual exploitation and abuse, sexual harassment and other forms of harassment, abuse of authority, discrimination, and lack of integrity (including but not limited to financial misconduct). Job Purpose

To support the IFRC and PNS human capital needs through effective recruitment processes and accurate administration of employment documentation, while ensuring compliance with local labor laws and company policies. The role is responsible for full-cycle recruitment and management of employee documentation including employment agreements, vacation requests, and personnel records.

Job Duties and Responsibilities

Screening resumes and conducting initial interviews Coordinating assessment centers and technical evaluations Conducting reference checks Preparing job offers and employment contracts Maintain recruitment tracking system and candidate database Support international recruitment processes using IFRC systems Coordinate with National Societies for Staff Manage relationships with recruitment agencies and job boards HR Administration Manage employee documentation and personnel files according to IFRC standards Process employment contracts, amendments, and terminations Coordinate employee onboarding and offboarding processes Administer leave management system for both international and local staff Maintain HR data in D365 systems Prepare HR reports and analytics Coordinate visa and work permit processes for international staff Manage employee benefits administration Monitor probation periods and contract renewals Prepare briefing/debriefing packages for new staff and visitors Support to HR Manager Assist in implementing HR policies and procedures Support performance management processes Contribute to HR reporting and analytics Assist with HR budget planning and monitoring Support employee relations and conflict resolution Coordinate with Regional HR Office on various initiatives Assist in developing HR strategies and initiatives Monitor compliance with labor laws and internal policies Support organizational development initiatives Contribute to HR process improvements

University degree - Human Resources or equivalent

Preferred

HR training or equivalent experience

Experience

Minimum 3 years or relevant working experiences, with significant, broad based โ€Žexperience in โ€ŽHuman Resources domain.โ€Ž
โ€Ž3 years administration experience in comparably sized organization (s)โ€Ž
Experience in facilitating and supporting management/HR/admin personnel
Experience of managing and supporting staff
