The TeamThe Philanthropic Partnerships team (PPT) works to mobilize resources and build the next generation of champions for global health and development (GH&D), ensuring that philanthropy helps the worldโ€™s most vulnerable children survive and thrive.

Our strategy is designed to close the gap between intent and action, ensuring philanthropy supports lasting change. We engage with ultra-high-net-worth individuals (UHNWI), corporate and private foundations, philanthropic collaboratives, advisors, family offices, and social impact investorsโ€”while also strengthening the broader philanthropic ecosystem. Key programs include: The Giving Pledge, Gates Philanthropy Partners, Proponent Labs, and initiatives that enhance the infrastructure for GH&D giving.

Over the next five years, our work will focus on mobilizing resources for priorities of GH&D and the foundation, including: expanding our approaches and partnerships to unlock more capital; growing our work across global regions; and cultivating the next generation of GH&D championsโ€”while continuing to strengthen philanthropic ecosystems and reinforce the foundationโ€™s leadership in global giving.

Your Role

The Audience Engagement Officer will help the Philanthropic Partnerships Team (PPT) engage and inspire key partnersโ€”including individual donors, institutional philanthropies, and othersโ€”to support global health and development priorities and accelerate philanthropic giving overall.

This role focuses on positioning PPTโ€™s work and giving opportunities with donor audiences, coordinating donor and partner communications, and ensuring that our voice is consistent, strategic, and compelling across channels. The Officer will lead efforts to market global health and development giving opportunities, strengthen outreach across PPTโ€™s audiences, and support select engagement efforts within the Giving Pledge and related donor communities.

You will also manage the systems, workflows, and vendors that support high-quality execution across PPT.

This position combines marketing strategy, content coordination, and project management to ensure that PPTโ€™s communications and events are well-planned, audience-driven, and aligned in tone and message. The Officer will work closely with the PPT Communications Officer and the foundationโ€™s Communications Team to coordinate execution, align voice, and connect PPTโ€™s engagement activities to the foundationโ€™s broader storytelling.

** This position is a limited-term employment position for 24 months. You will be an employee of the foundation and will receive salary and foundation benefits. This role is eligible for our relocation package if you do not reside in Seattle, WA.
