Background:
The Project โBuilding a Model to Respond to Violence against Women and Girls in Viet Namโ funded by the Korea International Cooperation Agency (KOICA) was successfully implemented by UNFPA, United Nations Population Fund, in collaboration with the Ministry of Labour, Invalids, and Social Affairs (MOLISA), the Quang Ninh Social Work Center and the Center forย Studies and Applied Sciences in Gender, Family, Women and Adolescents (CSAGA) in the period 2017-2021. Under this support, the first-ever One Stop Service Centre (OSSC) for survivors of Gender-based Violence (GBV) was established in Quang Ninh of Viet Nam to provide integrated 24/7 essential services including healthcare, psychological counseling, legal support, police protection, emergency shelter, and referral pathways under one roof. To sustain and strengthen the achievements of the Project, KOICA continuously supported UNFPA to ensure its sustainability via the first Bridge Phase entitled โThe follow-up activities of Building a Model to Respond to Violence against Women and Girls in Viet Namโ, July 2022 - June 2023. In December 2024, KOICA continues their support by a Second Phase Project entitled โPromote replication of a model in preventing and responding to violence against women and girls in Viet Nam to enhance support for service delivery to women and girls subjected to violenceโ (2024-2027).
The overall goal of the Second Phase Project is to contribute to strengthening the multi-sectoral response in addressing violence against women and girls at national and subnational levels and will be implemented by UNFPA in collaboration with MOLISA, MOCST, Quang Ninh Social Work Center, Ha Tinh Social Work Center and Khanh Hoa Social Work and Protection Center.
The Position:
The Projectย Management Analystย is located in the UNFPA Country Office at the Green One UN House in Ha Noi, Viet Nam. He/She works under the direct supervision of and reports directly to the Programme Specialist on Human Rights and Gender, Gender Team Leader. The Projectย Management Analyst leads the coordination, implementation, and monitoring of the 2nd phase of KOICA funded Project โ Prevention Component.ย

Job Purpose:
The Projectย Management Analyst works in close collaboration with the gender team, programme staff and the operation team of the UNFPA Country Office, Government officials, experts and civil society (where relevant) ensuring the effective implementation of the 2nd phase of KOICA funded Project - Prevention Component which contributes to the success of the project.ย
You would be responsible for:
- Responsible for the day-to-day management and implementation of the KOICA funded project โ Prevention Component with a focus on transforming social and gender norms including engaging men and boys for promoting positive masculinity and preventing violence against women.ย
- Ensure timely and duly coordination and management of the KOICA funded project โ Prevention Component and the implementation of all activities listed in the Work Plan (WP) in accordance with the rules and regulations of the government and UNFPA.
- Provide technical support to ensure the delivery of quality the KOICA funded project - Prevention Component outputs through quality preparation, coordination and implementation of annual and quarterly work plans, including budgets.
- Undertake monitoring, coordination and evaluation and follow through the preparation of quarterly and annual progress reports, both narrative and financial; ensure the timely and quality submission of periodical reports to the donor.ย
- Provide related-communication support on the second phase project to the public, and logistical support to project activities and personnel when required.
- Provide effective support and collaboration with other partners, and stakeholders, timely facilitate the decision-making process related to KOICA funded project โ Prevention Component in close consultation with the direct supervisor and/or the Country Office Management.ย
- Provide timely feedback to Supervisor and Senior Management Team on the implementation, monitoring and evaluation of KOICA funded project โ Prevention Component
- Document good practices, lessons learned and success stories from KOICA funded project โ Prevention Component for documentation, as project implementation continues.
- Closely work with a shared Project Associate to complete all-related project requirements.ย
- Collaborate with other programme staff to promote programme coherence and linkages.ย
- Demonstrate and promote gender sensitive behavior and gender equality within UNFPA and with partners.
- Actively contribute to the One UN Initiative advancing the ICPD agenda and mainstream gender, human rights, and culture into policy advocacy, programming, and monitoring and evaluation as appropriate.
- And other tasks required by the Country Office Management and the Gender Teamย including in relation to supporting the wider Country Office mandate and well-being.
Qualifications and Experienceย
Education:ย
Advanced degree in public management, gender,ย health, population, demography, and/or other related social science disciplines.
Knowledge and Experience:ย
- At least two years of professional experience in the field ofย gender and gender-based violence, with practical experience in design, coordination, implementation, monitoring and evaluation of development projects.
- Demonstrated knowledge and experience in gender issues, particularly in GBV prevention, behavior change communication.
- Experience in working with Government offices, NGOs, international development organizations, and institutions especially in gender and GBV is desirable.
- Good understanding of the Vietnamese Government gender-related policies, laws, policy making processes andย being able to establish and maintain effective working relationships with the relevant Government partners.
- Experience in gender programming, understanding of human rights dimensions of gender, experience in culturally sensitive programming and in advising and supporting initiatives eliminating GBV will be an asset.
- Familiar with the One UN context/One Plan and UN working environment will be an advantage.
- Experience in using office software packages and web-based management systems.
