The International Water Management Institute (IWMI), a CGIAR Research Center is searching for a talented and motivated individual to join its headquarters in Battaramulla, Sri Lanka, as a Monitoring, Evaluation and Learning Officer.

The Monitoring Evaluation and Learning (MEL) Officer will provide the overall administration and technical support for IWMI’s Monitoring, Evaluation, Learning & Impact Assessment (MELIA) Platform. The person will perform MELIA function for projects across the IWMI portfolio at country and regional level, including data collection, data analysis, progress/performance reporting, and learning activities to ensure the monitoring and evaluation of the progress of the projects data and programs being updated in the MELIA system.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

A minimum of four (04) years of highly relevant professional experience, preferably in a research or development organization. Experience with designing and using evaluation tools and methods such as surveys, interviews, focus groups, and research from secondary sources.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES:

Essential

Strong ability to analyze and resolve problems. Advanced skills in Microsoft Office 365 applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint etc.). Ability to demonstrate strong interpersonal skills, teamwork, pragmatism, and reliability in order to contribute effectively to the collaborative and dynamic work environment. Strong attention to detail. Excellent oral and written language skills in English, including effective listening and strong verbal and written communication abilities.

This is a nationally recruited position and only Sri Lankan nationals will be considered. The duration of the contract will initially be for a period of three years with the possibility of extension.
