Plan has been working in Cox Bazar to respond to the Rohingya refugee influx since 24 September 2017 implementing the following key objectives: 1. Ensure girls and boys affected by the crisis are protected from violence, abuse, neglect and exploitation through appropriate prevention and response interventions in line with minimum standards. 2. Reduce the transmission of disease from fees to mouth through the promotion of good hygiene practice and the reduction of health risks related to poor sanitation 3. Restore and increase access to safe quality and inclusive educational opportunities for refugee children and adolescents (girls and boys) affected by the Rohingya crisis.

The role:
Monitoring, Evaluation, Accountability and Learning (MEAL) Coordinator will be responsible for executing the MEAL tools for the process monitoring of the projects and facilitate the processing of sensitive EiE data in a timely and accurate manner while providing regular trend analysis in line with Data Sharing Protocols and confidentiality. Building the capacity of partners staff members on process monitoring, accountability and learning harvesting and introducing feedback mechanism with the participation of natural leaders and community groups. The incumbent will also be responsible for preparing periodical narrative and formative reports, sectoral report. Coordinating to conduct baseline, mid-term & evaluation studies; and organizing workshops for packaging learning from all projects. MEAL Coordinator will report to M&E Specialist at Coxโs Bazar Project Office.
What weโre looking for:
At least Postgraduate degree, preferably in Sociology, Anthropology, Economics, Development Studies and Statistics, or another relevant field. At least 2-3 yearsโ experience in Monitoring, Evaluation, Research, Accountability and Learning at national or international development or humanitarian organizations. Ability to conduct and manage field for monitoring and research with minimum supervision. Skilled in data analysis and producing analytical using statistical software like SPSS or MS Excel. Skill in using digital platform for data collection (i.e. KoBo, mWater, Field Task). Basic knowledge on monitoring and research approaches, methodologies and tools. Competent in designing and conducting qualitative and quantitative data collection with little support. Good communication skill and ability to present findings, learning and best practices internally and externally. Ability to facilitate orientation sessions on tools, guidelines and MERL topics. Willing to provide 50% of his/her time for field visit. Good knowledge and understanding of DO NO HARM principles and established education in emergencies standards. Positive team spirit, adopts a team style which adds value to work and reinforces good working practices. Demonstrates an understanding about the Safeguarding of Children and Young People Policy and compliance, applies the possible protection measures within the scope of job, and provides inputs for strengthening safeguarding measures. Willingness to work for and on behalf of the organization at the time of disaster within Plan working areas or outside. Ability to use basic office electronic equipment & computer applications. Fluency in English, written and spoken. Understanding and speaking local language of Coxโs Bazar or Chittagong is an advantage. Experienced in working at humanitarian context like Coxโs Bazar. Experienced in working for education related project.
