Mission and objectivesEnabling Rural Opportunity Network (ERONet) formally Agoro Community Development Association (ACDA) is a grassroots nonprofit organization committed to advancing gender equality, addressing economic hardship, and ending social exclusion in rural communities across Northern Uganda. Mission: To empower rural communitiesโparticularly women and girlsโby addressing gender inequality, economic vulnerability, and social exclusion through sustainable and inclusive development programs. Objectives: To support access to quality education and vocational skills for rural girls To promote environmental sustainability through E-STEM education and conservation projects To improve access to clean water and sanitation through community-based WASH initiatives To support economic empowerment for women and girls through enterprise start-up kits and livelihood training To advocate for the rights and dignity of rural women and girls, including ending child and forced marriages To strengthen partnerships with local authorities and stakeholders for inclusive community development
ContextERONet has been operating in Lamwo and other districts since 2001, focusing on empowering rural communitiesโespecially women and girlsโthrough education, economic empowerment, water and sanitation (WASH), and environmental conservation. As the organization grows and scales its work, it is essential to establish clear working relationships with district authorities. The volunteer will work closely with the ERONet leadership team to understand the local context and draft a standard MoU that can be adapted for each district.
Task DescriptionEnabling Rural Opportunity Network (ERONet) is seeking a skilled Online Volunteer to support the drafting of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between our organization and the districts in Northern Uganda where we operate. This MoU will formalize partnerships with local governments to ensure effective coordination, accountability, and mutual understanding in program implementation.
