ย Contextย Under the direct supervision of the National Project Officer, in Boa Vista, and in coordination with the Communications team from the national office, in Brasรญlia, the selected candidate is expected to produce compelling and engaging communication content for web and print, including social media content and photos. The candidate will contribute to the implementation of creative communication strategies.
1.ย ย ย ย Create design elements and layouts of key flagship publications, infographics, flyers and maps highlighting IOM activities in the North Region.ย
2.ย ย ย ย Support content production for social media (Twitter, Instagram, YouTube, Whatsapp, and Facebook). ย
3.ย ย ย ย Capture and edit images in photo and video.
4.ย ย ย ย Edits low complexity videos and clips produced by the team.
5.ย ย ย ย Support in layout for communications materials, including print and digital output.
6.ย ย ย ย Liaise with graphic designers and other service providers to develop and produce materials.ย
7.ย ย ย ย Support media and communication trainings for field teams, in coordination with the national office in Brasรญlia, DF.
8.ย ย ย ย Provides overall support with research and fact-checking to produce communication material.ย
9.ย ย ย ย Stays abreast of new design and social media trends and delivers create and innovative ideas.ย
10.ย ย ย ย Ensure all communication materials are under the general branding IOM manual, and specific projects branding manual.
11.ย ย ย ย Perform any other duties as may be needed.ย
Education
- High School diploma with at least three years of relevant professional experience; or,
University degree in Social Communication, Graphic Design or any related field, with one year of relevant professional experience.
Accredited Universities are those listed in the UNESCO World Higher Education Database.ย Experience- A minimum of two years of relevant experience in graphic design.
- Proficiency in Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, and InDesign are required.
- Knowledge to handle multiple projects simultaneously and under pressure.
- Great communication and interpersonal skills, ability to prepare clear and concise products.
- Knowledge in the field of migration is an advantage.ย ย Languages
