Are you passionate about building and supporting resilient, cloud-native platforms at scale? This role is your chance to dive into modern infrastructure engineering, working across Azure and on-premise environments to support microservices, containers, and high-availability architectures. Youโll provision platforms through Infrastructure as Code (IaC), build and manage CI/CD pipelines, and contribute to the deployment of robust, production-grade systems using modern DevOps tools and practices. From API gateways to observability tooling and disaster recovery design, you'll help shape systems that are built to scale, secure by design, and ready for anything.
Youโll bring your technical foundation across cloud infrastructure, container orchestration, and configuration management to support dynamic workloads and enable seamless workload migrations between environments. Whether you're working alongside software engineers to troubleshoot application issues or collaborating with service providers to optimise performance, you'll play a key role in delivering operational excellence. Accountabilities and Responsibilities:
Technology experience in this area includes but is not limited to:
Microsoft Azure. Production experience of containers and associated orchestration tools. Enterprise scale applications, API Gateways, high availability architectures, load balancing and disaster recovery. Experience of setting up CI/CD pipelines including production deployments Configuration management tooling. Package / dependency management solutions. Commercial or open source observability tooling. Comfortable provisioning platforms through IaC tools. Robust understanding of on-premise infrastructure. The ability to apply DevOps tools and practices to on-premise workloads. Proficient in migrating workloads between on-premise and hyperscale cloud environments. Familiarity with re-architecting applications to operate in hyperscale cloud environments.
Knowledge and Education:
Supporting hyperscale cloud technologies Supporting microservice oriented, containerised solutions Understanding of software development principles and troubleshooting application issues Understanding of infrastructure management principles and troubleshooting practices Understanding of performance monitoring approaches Working with Managed Service Providers and Professional Service Partners Entry level certification such as Microsoft Certified: Azure Fundamentals Entry level service management certification such a ITIL Foundation.
