ContextOne of UNDP Georgia's key partnerships is the Czech-UNDP Partnership for Sustainable Development Goals, a unique collaboration between the Government of the Czech Republic and UNDP. It seeks to leverage Czech expertise and financial resources to implement impactful initiatives in areas such as climate adaptation, energy efficiency, and capacity-building for resilient systems in Georgia. To support these efforts, UNDP Georgia seeks A Junior Partnerships Officer to contribute to the effective coordination of Czech-funded projects and ongoing engagement with the Czech Embassy in Georgia.
Task DescriptionJunior Partnerships Officer is to support the Czech-UNDP Partnership-funded initiatives and assist in fostering productive collaboration between UNDP Georgia and the Czech Embassy. This includes helping with project coordination, liaison, communications, and other partnership-centric tasks. Under the direct supervision of Deputy Resident Representative, the UN Volunteer will undertake the following tasks: 1. Support to Czech-UNDP Partnership Initiatives: o Assist in the coordination of Czech-funded projects and activities, ensuring timely progress and alignment with UNDP objectives. o Monitor the implementation of Czech-UNDP initiatives and draft project updates, results summaries, and progress reports as required. o Support in conducting research and preparing background materials for the design and development of future Czech-UNDP initiatives. o Ensure Czech project documentation is up-to-date, well-organized, and compliant with partnership agreements. 2. Liaising with the Czech Embassy in Georgia: o Support ongoing communication and cooperation between UNDP Georgia and the Czech Embassy. o Assist in facilitating meetings, workshops, and joint events with the Czech Embassy and its stakeholders. o Prepare briefing materials, talking points, and memos related to Czech-funded activities in Georgia. 3. Event and Logistics Support: o Provide assistance in organizing events, consultations, and field visits associated with Czech-UNDP Partnership projects. o Ensure smooth logistical arrangements for stakeholder engagements involving the Czech Embassy. 4. Communication and Visibility: o Contribute to drafting and editing promotional content for Czech-UNDP initiatives, including articles, social media posts, and newsletters. o Assist in ensuring visibility for Czech-UNDP projects in line with branding and communications guidelines. 5. Partnership Building and Outreach: o Help identify opportunities to further strengthen the Czech-UNDP partnership by proposing new areas for collaboration and resource mobilization. o Support outreach efforts to engage other development stakeholders aligned with Czech initiatives. 6. Administrative and Cross-Team Support: o Manage schedules, agendas, and documentation for Czech-related meetings and engagements. o Collaborate with colleagues across UNDP thematic areas to facilitate knowledge-sharing and integration of Czech-UNDP initiatives within wider UNDP programming.

The Summary of UNV Entitlement (International Youth): โข Volunteer Living Allowance-VLA (per month): approximately USD 1,986 Please note that the amounts can vary according to fluctuations of the monthly post adjustment. โข Entry lump sum (one-time payment): USD 4000 โข Exit allowance (per month): USD 225 โข Medical, dental, life and disability insurance: Cigna Private Insurance โข Annual leave: 2.5 days accrued per calendar month โข Free access to different learning platforms and UN & UNV network Notes: 1) The allowances are in no way to be understood as compensation, reward or salary in exchange for volunteer work. 2) It's important to note that UNV assignments are volunteer assignments, not employment. The purpose of the allowances and entitlements paid to UN Volunteers is to enable UN Volunteers to sustain a secure standard of living at the duty stations in line with United Nations standards without incurring personal costs. Contingent on specific eligibility criteria, location of the volunteer assignment, and contractual type and category, the payment of allowances will begin from the date of Commencement of Service.
