Reports To: Senior Fundraising/Development Manager

Job Summary: The Junior Fundraising/Development Manager supports the development team in securing financial support for the organization. This role involves assisting with donor relations, organizing fundraising events, and maintaining accurate records. The ideal candidate will have 3-4 years of experience in fundraising, strong communication skills, and a passion for the nonprofit sector.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in developing and executing comprehensive fundraising plans to meet and exceed annual financial goals.
  • Support the identification, cultivation, and stewardship of relationships with individual donors, corporate sponsors, and foundations.
  • Manage and update the donor database, ensuring accurate and up-to-date records of all contributions and donor interactions.
  • Assist in planning, coordinating, and executing fundraising events, including galas, auctions, and community-based events.
  • Aid in writing compelling grant proposals and reports to secure funding from foundations, government agencies, and other grant-making entities.
  • Collaborate with the marketing and communications team to create effective fundraising materials, campaigns, and online initiatives.
  • Monitor fundraising progress, prepare detailed reports on financial targets, donor engagement metrics, and campaign effectiveness.
  • Conduct research on potential funding opportunities, donor trends, and best practices in fundraising and nonprofit management.
  • Provide administrative support to the development team, including scheduling meetings, managing correspondence, and handling inquiries from donors and prospects.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelorโ€™s degree in Nonprofit Management, Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field.
  • 3-4 years of experience in fundraising, development, or a similar role in the nonprofit sector.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to craft persuasive fundraising messages.
  • Excellent organizational and project management skills, with attention to detail and the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and familiarity with fundraising software and donor management systems (e.g., Raiser's Edge, Salesforce).
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
  • Passion for the organizationโ€™s mission and values, with a commitment to making a positive impact.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in event planning and coordination.
  • Knowledge of grant writing and reporting processes.
  • Familiarity with digital fundraising strategies and social media campaigns.

Working Conditions:

  • This position may require occasional evening and weekend work to support fundraising events and donor engagements.
  • Some travel may be required to meet with donors, attend conferences, and participate in training sessions.
