Reporting to the Associate Director of Internal Communications within Corporate Communications, the Internal Communications Specialist works collaboratively across the organization to support the development and execution of internal communications activities. Key functions include writing and posting content, supporting meeting and communications campaign planning, and tracking and organizing internal communication resources, calendars and metrics.
This position requires eastern time zone working hours.

ยญยญ Responsibilities:
Manage document review processes and incorporate changes into draft communications
Proactively research and write intranet articles and other content
Post intranet content
Maintain the internal communications editorial calendar
Edit and distribute internal email announcements
Assist with planning and running internal meetings
Draft talking points and tool kits
Create PowerPoint presentations for internal meetings
Update video/photo content for lobby monitors
Build effective working relationships across teams
Track and successfully meet deadlines
Track and record internal communications metrics
Assist with project-related administrative tasks as needed, including organizing files and taking meeting notes
Qualifications:
Bachelorโs degree or international equivalent in journalism, English, communications or related field
5 years of experience in communications, with 3 years specifically in internal communications
International development experience a plus
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Demonstrated project management skills
Eager to tackle new projects and ideas
Ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
Passion for working in a mission-oriented environment
Must be able to read, write and speak fluent English

Typical office environment.
Ability to spend long hours looking at computer screen and doing repetitive work on a keyboard.
Ability to sit or stand for extended periods of time.
Ability to lift or move up to 5 lbs.

The expected hiring salary range for this role is listed below. FHI 360 pay ranges represent national averages that vary by geographic location. When determining an offer amount, FHI 360 factors in multiple considerations, including but not limited to: relevant years of experience and education possessed by the applicant, internal equity, business sector, and budget.
Base salary is only one component of our offer. FHI 360 contributes 12% of monthly base pay to a money purchase pension plan account. Additionally, all US based staff working full-time, which is calculated at 40 hours/week, receive 18 days of paid vacation per year, 12 sick days per year, and 11 holidays per year. Paid time off is reduced pro rata for employees working less than a full-time schedule.
Hiring Salary Range: $77,000 - $92,500
