Job description

GET.transform is a European multi-donor program focused on supporting energy and power system transformations in emerging economies. It offers comprehensive advisory services to governments, regulatory bodies, and electric utilities on the topics of long-term energy planning, renewable energy grid integration, as well as energy policy, regulation and market development. GET.transform operates in Africa and Latin America. GET.transform is looking to fill an internship position to support on research, documentation, communication, and implementation in the fields of energy planning, renewable energy grid integration, energy policy, regulation, and market development. Your tasks

You will have the following tasks during the internship:

Support research and data analysis related to energy (e. g. policy, private sector investment, capacity development for RE, regional energy integration, with a focus on Africa and the Americas Assist with project management tasks for the Head of Global Partnerships (e. g. organize internal & external meeting and travels, follow up on agreements, document & circulate minutes of meetings etc) Support to build or update filing structures, folders, landing pages, MS planner for project purposes, and synchronized connections across sharepoint or MS Teams Support to review energy transformation related consultancy reports to ensure it meets acceptable standards as per the terms of references or request for services Support development of diverse communication materials (e. g., factsheets, presentations, illustrations, videos, social media information, newsletters etc) Support in developing concept notes on GET.transform Global partnerships with regards (e. g. engagement with internal & external collaborative partners, participation at high level energy sector internal and external events etc) Tracking and documenting of technical assistance needs emanating from GET.transform policy catalyst including TA support offered Document and report on status of GET.transform implementation at country and regional level

Your profile

Bachelor’s degree in social or political Sciences, Development/ Energy Studies, Communications, or similar An understanding of the role of energy in sustainable development and climate change mitigation An understanding of energy contexts in Africa. Latin America is a plus Excellent communication skills, particularly in written and oral Profound skills in MS office required (in particular but not limited to PowerPoint, Excel, Sharepoint) Graphic design skills (e. g. in Photoshop, Illustrator, Canva or other editing software) are a strong asset Fluency in English required; fluency in German is an advantage, Portuguese or Spanish is a plus

We pay a monthly stipend of €2.134,52 (gross).
