Org. Setting and ReportingThe position is located in the United Nations Peacekeeping Force in Cyprus. The incumbent will report to the Chief Service Management Unit/Chief Field Technology Section or to his/her designate. TELEPHONE BILLING SERVICES โ€ข Provide operational technical support to the Telephone Billing unit. โ€ข Support and maintain UNFICYP specialized applications including but not limited to: e-Billing software, Field Support Suit Modules, Azure cloud computing for mobile devices etc.. โ€ข Ensures that clear and accurate records of all telephone accounts, documentation and invoices are maintained. โ€ข Follows up on outstanding payments and recovery of charges. โ€ข Ensure that clear and accurate records of all registered telephone subscriptions and all related documentation are maintained. โ€ข Maintains a comprehensive filing system of invoices, statements and correspondence for all telephone systems, including issue and return vouchers for mobile and satellite SIM cards. โ€ข Provide hardware and software support e.g. Mobile devices, Tablets, and Satellite Phones. โ€ข Performs other related duties as required. ASSETS MANAGEMENT โ€ข Manage assets and equipment, including mobile devices, accessories, expendable items, and spare parts, as well as coordinating their movement across operational areas. โ€ข Utilize enterprise asset management systems to maintain accurate records for expendable and non-expendable assets. โ€ข Monitor and review inventory for accuracy, conduct regular physical checks, and ensure compliance with organizational policies. โ€ข Oversee the distribution, return, and management of assets like SIM cards and related equipment for all personnel. โ€ข Assist in providing technical guidance for the receiving, inspecting, and verification process of incoming assets and supplies. โ€ข Ensure the availability of spare parts and supplies necessary for operations. โ€ข Coordinate scheduled, preventative, and corrective maintenance for ICT equipment. CONTRACT MANAGEMENT โ€ข Manage contracts and services for telecommunications and related operations. โ€ข Draft Statements of Work (SOW) for various telecommunication services, including mobile plans, data plans, internet services, and telephony systems. โ€ข Evaluate supplier performance based on contractual deliverables and prepare performance reports. โ€ข Participate in technical evaluations for telecommunication contracts to recommend suitable vendors. OPERATIONS SUPPORT โ€“ BUDGETING, PROCUREMENT, REPORTING โ€ข Provide budget inputs for the Units Operations, including narrative justifications โ€ข Responsible for processing Low Value Acquisition Documents (LVAโ€™s) for procuring readily available telecommunication goods and services. โ€ข Ensure that all required spare parts and supplies for mobile assets are maintained. โ€ข Provide advice to clients regarding FTS standards, UN policies and workflow processes. โ€ข Prepare and maintain, as and when needed, reports and related statistics on mobile services and equipment. โ€ข Draft and revise mission related Standard Operating Procedures (SOP)s. โ€ข Provide related input for Statement of Work (SOW). โ€ข Participate in the technical evaluation committee. โ€ข Complete quarterly contract performance reports.
