5 Steps to get a job in the United Nations

Mission and objectivesAs the lead United Nations agency on international development, UNDP works in 170 countries and territories to eradicate poverty and reduce inequality. We help countries develop policies, leadership skills, partnerships and institutional capabilities to achieve the Sustainable Development Goals. Our work is centred around six core development areas, known as our signature solutions: poverty and inequality, governance, resilience, environment, energy and gender equality. UNDP’s mandate is to end poverty, build democratic governance, rule of law, and inclusive institutions. We advocate for change, and connect countries to knowledge, experience and resources to help people build a better life.

ContextThe UNDP Sustainable Finance Hub is seeking an Online Volunteer to assist the INFF team with data collection, analysis, and policy analysis to support the preparation of a report for the Financing for Development (FfD) 4 Conference. The successful candidate will contribute to the annual INFF survey, covering 80 countries, and play a vital role in helping to analyze data and provide policy insights that will inform the broader discussion on financing for sustainable development.

Task DescriptionWe are looking for one online volunteer to assist in establishing an INFF database by collecting, verifying, and organizing data from various sources, including countries' development finance assessment reports, financing strategy documents, financial statements, public and private finance management policies, public release, as well as the INFF annual survey and UNDP project documents.
