INTRODUCTION TO GGGI
The Global Green Growth Institute (GGGI) is a treaty-based international, inter-governmental organization dedicated to supporting and promoting strong, inclusive and sustainable economic growth in developing countries and emerging economies. To learn more please visit about GGGI web page.
PROJECT BACKGROUND
GGGI supports the Government of Indonesia in focal areas: renewable energy, green cities and special economic zones, sustainable landscapes (SL) mitigation and adaptation projects, and green investment. The Program, known as the 'GoI-GGGI Green Growth Program' (GGP), aims to demonstrate that green investments can become the norm both for investors and planners, ultimately improving the quality of economic development for environmental sustainability and social inclusion. Through the Program, GGGI collaborates with the Ministry of National Development Planning (BAPPENAS), the Coordinating Ministry of Economic Affairs, the Ministry of Finance, the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources, the Ministry of Environment, the Ministry of Forestry, PT Sarana Multi Infrastruktur (โPT SMIโ), and others.
Through the Ecosystem-based Approaches/Nature-Based Solutions for Climate Smart Livelihoods in Mangrove Landscapes (NASCLIM) Project, GGGI supports the Governmentโs commitment to combating rapid deforestation of mangrove forests. The NASCLIM project started in March 2023 and has a maximum project duration of five years. With funding from the Government of Canada, NASCLIM works with the Peatland and Mangrove Restoration Agency (BRGM) and the Ministry of Environment to rehabilitate degraded mangrove forests and protect thriving forests at the Kayan-Sembakung Delta in North Kalimantan and the Mahakam Delta in East Kalimantan, through ecosystem-based approaches/nature-based solutions.
In addition, GGGI implements the Enabling Blue Carbon in Indonesia (EBC) project, which aims to support the Government of Indonesia in integrating blue carbon ecosystems into the countryโs Nationally Determined Contribution (NDC), also known as its climate commitments. The project focuses on providing a policy framework, strengthening institutional capacity in blue carbon policies, and guiding policymakers at the national and local levels. GGGI works closely with the Ministry of Environment (KLH) and the Ministry of Marine Affairs and Fisheries (KKP) to implement the project.
Both projects require visibility and outreach efforts to showcase GGGIโs positioning and technical expertise as a trusted development partner of the Government of Indonesia. Such efforts are acknowledged through the development of high-quality communication materials such as project factsheets, GGGI-branded event collaterals, technical reports, infographics, and social media visuals, among others. In line with this, GGGI Indonesia is seeking a part-time graphic designer who will support the development of such materials. The part-time consultant shall work remotely for a period of 12 months.

The Consultant will support the NASCLIM and EBC teams in providing the design and layout of communication materials to promote the work of the projects. Under the supervision of GGGI Indonesiaโs Senior Communications Officer, the consultant will provide support to promote project activities, knowledge-sharing initiatives, and key learnings.
