The Shared Services Centre (SSC) is a centre of excellence focused on the delivery of high quality and cost-effective administrative services for FAO globally. The SSC ensures the management of quality assurance activities associated with its transactional processes and service delivery; continuously improves the satisfaction of its customers, internal or external, while pursuing a continuous improvement agenda that will drive up service excellence while driving down the costs of service delivery through process standardization, process automation and self-service capabilities. ย
The HR Specialist will be based in the FAO Shared Services Centre located in Budapest, Hungary.
Please note that this role requires office attendance.
Reporting Lines
Under the general supervision of the Human Resources Officer, Shared Services Centre, Budapest, and the direct supervision of the Human Resources Associate, the incumbent will perform a variety of complex human resources support duties related to the employment and servicing of international affiliate workforce as assigned.
Technical Focus
Compliance and service delivery in the field of human resources. The incumbent ensures quality, transparency and consistency of data and processes within their area of responsibility and contributes to the smooth functioning of human resources operations.
Tasks and responsibilities
โข ย ย ย ย Provide the delivery of comprehensive human resources support services related to the contract management and administration of entitlements and benefits for International Affiliate Personnel; ย
โข ย ย ย ย Ensure compliance with relevant policies and regulations as well as transparency and consistency of transactions and procedures; ย
โข ย ย ย ย Review, maintain and update confidential personnel information, records and files; ensure completeness and accuracy of records;ย
โข ย ย ย ย Analyze cases, research and provide solutions that are in line with the existing policies;ย
โข ย ย ย ย Handle non-routine and complex cases; ย
โข ย ย ย ย Collect and research background information; draft correspondence, reports and statistics related to all human resources functions as appropriate;ย
โข ย ย ย ย Participate in ad hoc assignments on data quality and specific projects on streamlining processes and procedures;ย
โข ย ย ย ย Provide information to clients regarding HR procedures via various platforms (e-mail, Service Now);ย
โข ย ย ย ย Continuously monitor and process cases in Service Now within Service Level Agreement;
โข ย ย ย ย Train unit newcomers and share knowledge of processes to ensure high standard of service delivery;ย
โข ย ย ย ย Report to the supervisor any irregularities and inconsistencies from existing regulations or standard system performance;ย
โข ย ย ย ย Perform other related duties as required.

Minimum Requirements ย
ย
โข ย ย ย ย High school diploma
โข ย ย ย ย 1 year of relevant experience in administrative and human resources support work
โข ย ย ย ย Working knowledge (full proficiency - level C) of English
โข ย ย ย ย National of Hungary or resident of the country with a valid work permit
