ContextThe WHO European Centre for Preparedness for Humanitarian and Health Emergencies in Istanbul, Türkiye, has drafted the 2023-24 annual progress report on its activities. We are seeking an experienced volunteer to make the design and layout of the report to be published. The selected volunteer will have a chance to learn more on the activities conducted by WHO in the European Region to strengthen the Member States preparedness to humanitarian and health emergencies while supporting the team firsthand.
Task DescriptionThe WHO European Centre for Preparedness for Humanitarian and Health Emergencies in Istanbul, Turkiye, is looking for one online volunteer to design and provide layout of an annual report for the WHO European Centre for Preparedness for Humanitarian and Health Emergencies, with experience in the graphic design field. The volunteer will: • develop the design and layout of the document with a consistent structure and color scheme, developing both a printable version and a digital version; • liaise with the team in case of edits; • ensure that internal PDF links for the digital version (e.g. references, footnotes, annexures) are functional; • ensure that photos and graphics are of high quality in both print and digital quality; • follow consistency of WHO/Europe guidelines for print and digital publications, to be provided by the Centre; • share the relevant design packages with the Centre upon completion of the task, ensuring the files are easily cleaned and editable in graphic design software.
