Mission and objectivesIstanbul International Center for Private Sector in Development (IICPSD) supports the private sector and foundations to become transformative partners in development through research, advocacy for inclusive business, facilitation of public-private dialogue and brokering partnerships. IICPSD, established in 2011 in partnership with the Government of Turkey, is one of UNDP's six Global Policy Centres. It leads UNDPโs global work on private sector and foundations and supports UNDPโs offices all over the world. The Center focuses on four thematic areas: 1. Inclusive Business; 2. Private Sector Engagement in Skills Development; 3. Impact investing; 4. Resilience and Crisis Response. The Center also hosts four global initiatives: Business Call to Action, SDG Philanthropy Platform, Global Islamic Finance and Impact Investing Platform and Connecting Business Initiative.
ContextThe SDG AI Lab Training Team is seeking online volunteers to support graphic designs and create 13 illustrations for the โBias in AIโ guideline. This guideline provides a comprehensive overview of AI bias, its impact, and strategies for mitigation. It targets students, educators, researchers, engineers, developers, data scientists, and policymakers, offering real-world examples and practical solutions to address bias throughout the AI lifecycle. The illustrations will visually represent different types of AI bias, helping to bridge the gap between theoretical discussions and practical applications. These graphics will be essential to enhancing the readability and accessibility of the guideline before its publication.
Task DescriptionThe volunteer is expected to: -Create a minimum of two different illustrations for each of the 13 bias type -Design a single comprehensive visualization that represents all 50 AI bias categorizations, structured like a tree diagram or network map. The volunteer should deliver high-quality, publication-ready graphics within the agreed timeline, ensuring that the illustrations align with the guidelines' visual identity and messaging while maintaining consistency across all materials. Additionally, the volunteer is expected to provide two rounds of revisions for each designed material based on feedback, ensuring that the final product meets the required standards.
