CARE is seeking a talented Global Security Response Advisor (GSRA) who will support CARE and the CSU by providing rapid, deployable or remote technical support to CARE Country Offices and Program teams. The role will deliver a critical and expert Security Risk Management capacity when emergencies of crisis strike. This role is a capacity multiplier, delivering both advice and technical excellence to CARE colleagues globally.

This is a home-based, deployable position reporting to the Director of Operational Security within the CARE Security Unit.

The role requires an experienced security manager, an individual with a high level of personal resilience, able to work in emergency and complex environments, who can deliver leadership and best practice in dynamic settings. The Global Security Response Advisor (GSRA) will be comfortable deploying against short timelines, maintaining sight of mission priorities, be results- and solutions-driven and able to work and influence a diverse group of stakeholders.

The position is approximately 65% deployable on assignment with Country or Regional offices, and while based at home, the GSRA will support projects for the CARE Security Unit as directed by the Director of Operational Security. Given the variety of tasking required by the position, the post-holder will be highly capable across the spectrum of security risk management, including the design and development of technical tools and systems, best-practice emergency response safety processes, development of relationships to influence positive security culture, delivery of written and oral briefings and trainings, and capacity to offer clarity on CARE policies and protocols.
