I- OPPORTUNITY
Working under the direct supervision of the Merl Assistant, the Gender and Safeguarding Field Agent will be responsible for ensuring that gender equality, inclusion, and safeguarding principles are integrated into all aspects of the SheCan project, in accordance with Plan International's policies and donor requirements. The Field Agent will be a key resource for monitoring and addressing any gender-related barriers or protection risks that may impact the project's ability to achieve its goal of empowering women smallholder farmers. S/He will be working closely with M and E team.
The Gender and Safeguarding Field Agent will also be responsible for tracking key indicators related to gender equality, women's empowerment, and safeguarding, identifying gaps in information, and making recommendations for collecting this data to ensure that the project remains responsive to the needs of women and girls in the East Region.
II-ABOUT YOU
- The Gender and Safeguarding Field agent must have Minimum of a Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Social Work, Gender Studies, Community Development, Human Rights, or a related field. And Minimum of 2 years of experience working on gender equality, GBV prevention, or child protection programs in a community-based setting,Experience working with women's groups, cooperatives, or smallholder farmers is highly desirable and Experience in the East Region of Cameroon is an asset. He or/She have excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
