The Department The Finance System & Reporting Team provides support to Mercy Corpsโ HQ and field operations in the areas of finance systems, integrations, and processes, reporting, and knowledge management. Our mission is to increase the level of knowledge and the availability of tools and resources to promote the highest possible standard of financial accountability, transparency, efficiency, and donor compliance. The team is responsible for leading and coordinating the implementation of Mercy Corps global financial accounting and reporting solutions and for supporting integration with a growing suite of applications. The Position This role will support the implementation of finance systems to improve business processes. The role will support the team in meeting its priorities to automate and improve existing processes and to continuously improve MCโs capacity to allocate donor resources. The Project Manager will liaise with multiple stakeholders with a broad range of technical knowledge and a variety of requirements, thus the ability to communicate effectively to a diverse audience will be essential. Essential Responsibilities FINANCE SYSTEMS SUPPORT
Lead finance systems implementations and improvements such as forecasting/budgeting tools, reporting tools, integrations support, and system upgrades ensuring adherence to timeline and budget.
Collect requirements for assigned projects. Set and manage project expectations with team members and other stakeholders.
Devise solutions for complex challenges including multi-currency financial consolidation, staff costs reporting and allocation, and phased roll-outs of key financial infrastructure.
Research and recommend system functionality to achieve team objectives
Liaise with internal stakeholders and external consultants to ensure selected systems are implemented in line with requirements and integrate effectively with other systems as required.
Support the development of training curriculum for new/improved systems
Document project implementation/system specifications as well as procedural/maintenance requirements
Troubleshoot issues reported by users and coordinate resolution with other stakeholders.
