The Opportunity:
The Finance Officer will ensure that the financial information entered into the accounting and financial system is of high quality and reliable. It will also be up to your watch that payments are made in a way that optimizes the use of resources at all times, ensuring financial monitoring of grants in accordance with Plan International and donor policies and procedures.
The Individual/About You:
As the Finance Officer, you are responsible for the provision of financial services to the Bamenda field office which you will be assigned and also contributing to the writing and review of project proposals โ especially budgets. You will work with supply chain colleagues to manage supplier payments and administrative tasks in the field office, assist and guide colleagues in processing their payment requests and support Partners in the financial management of the funds granted to them within the scope of project delivery;
To best meet up with your objectives, the below will be of key value to you:
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance or a related discipline;
- Good organisational and record-keeping skills;
- Be organised, methodical and meticulous;
- A sense of Customer service;
- Easy to communicate with staff and third parties;
- Good oral and written communication skills;
- Ability to facilitate participatory processes;
- Be able to demonstrate independence, objectivity and integrity;
- Adequate support to enable programmes to achieve agreed financial and programmatic results;
- Ability to actively seek support to resolve difficulties in carrying out tasks;
