Under the overall supervision of the Head of Protection (PXD) Unit, and direct supervision of the National Programme Officer, the incumbent will be responsible for supporting day to day implementation of project activities under the portfolio of the Protection Unit and required to perform the following duties and responsibilities:
- Maintain project related data, information and records of the activities and assist in drafting the interim and final project reports.ย
- Assist with the implementation and monitoring of the project activities, including activities implemented by partners related to the Protection of Migrants and Victims of Trafficking (VoTs).ย
- Follow up and monitor the implementation of the planned activities, including assistance to develop progress tracking tools.ย
- Maintain project related data, information and records of the activities and assist in drafting the interim and final project reports.ย
- Draft and collate correspondence, publications, tables, reports, presentation and other forms of documentation and facilitate the effective dissemination of and access of the information on project activities and results.
- Assist the supervisor in drafting various project progress reports for review of the Head of Protection Unit for submission to the donor.
- Draft different financial reports, project expenditures and recommend adjustments as necessary in coordination with Resource Management.
- Assist to coordinate in the organization, logistics, finance, administration and coordination of meetings, workshops, seminars, trainings and conferences at the national level as well as regional events.
- Assist in the organization and implementation of events, training, workshops, focus groups, activities in the field, facilitating smooth implementation of project activities.ย ย
- Support project visibility in accordance with IOM's visibility guidelines and donor requirements and in close collaboration with the supervisor and relevant units in the Mission.ย
- Support with the follow up with local authorities and promote the engagement of civil society by involving local stakeholders and maintaining partnerships with local entities.
- Assist with the collection of migration data, information, materials, and knowledge products in order to promote information sharing, support evidence-based policies, and practices, and raise awareness in collaboration with relevant stakeholders.
- Travel to project locations as needed to provide on-the-ground support and verify project implementation aligns with IOM vision.
- Perform other duties as may be assigned by your supervisor.

Education:
- Bachelorโs degree, preferably in Law, Political or Social Sciences, or Social Work, or related field from an accredited academic institution and four years of work experience.
Experience:
- Experience in the field of migration, IDP and refugee assistance and protection (including specific experience on Protection)
- Relevant experience, preferably in project Management and/or Migrant Protection and Assistance;ย
- Good knowledge of Human Rights and Protection; Knowledge of Counter-Trafficking is an advantage.ย
- Proven ability to maintain strong working relations with relevant Government counter-parts, international organizations and private sector entities;ย
- Demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Office application, including Excel, PowerPoint and Word;ย
- Previous work experience in international organization is advantageous
SKILLS:
- Strong communication skills and ability to draft clearly and concisely;
- Excellent organizational and reporting skills;
- Demonstrated ability to work in a team (strong task management).
Languages:
For this position, fluency in English and Bangla is required (oral and written).
