ContextPersons with disabilities are often excluded from public discourse and policy dialogues due to persistent barriers in communication and access to information. This assignment directly supports UNESCOโs inclusion mandate by improving access to knowledge through clear and professional English and/or Dutch audio recordings. The volunteer will record both the articles, the accompanying audio versions of the event agenda and the follow-up news article covering the launch. All recordings will be made publicly available to ensure broader accessibility. The UNESCO Office for the Caribbean is soft launching a Knowledge Series focused on advancing disability inclusion in Caribbean Small Island Developing States (SIDS). This initiative aims to showcase the voices, perspectives, and solutions of the private sector, academia, NGOs and governmental organizations working to advance disability inclusion across the region. As part of its commitment to the UN Disability Inclusion Strategy and the CRPD, UNESCO aims to produce both standard and Easy-Read versions of each article of the knowledge series and ensure the availability of accessible audio versions in English and/or Dutch, including for the event agenda. The audio version will benefit persons who are blind, have low literacy levels, or prefer auditory content for accessibility and learning.
