Purpose of Job
The English Editor (Band 4 - Analyst) is integral to the editorial output of the Editorial and Creative Unit, within the EBRDโ€™s Communications Department. The successful candidate will assist editorial colleagues in the production of print and digital corporate titles, including editing and proofreading text, collating and responding to comments, checking printersโ€™ proofs and preparing short descriptive summaries for use in external and internal corporate communications. They will be responsible for delivering products on time, within budget and to a brief.

Background
The Editorial and Creative Unit is responsible for the writing, editing, design and production of EBRD products (physical and digital). These products aim to inform stakeholders about the Bank, its mission and impact. The Unit also works on publications, internal and external communication campaigns, events, websites, stories and social media. In addition, the EBRDโ€™s design function is responsible for managing, developing and protecting the Bankโ€™s brand identity.

The English Editor position is a full-time role focused on responding effectively to briefs from within and without the EBRDโ€™s Communications Department. Working closely with the Associate Director, Editorial and Creative and the Principal (Editorial), the staff member will deliver a wide range of corporate and promotional products in a corporate communications environment. The role requires excellent copy editing and project management skills and is not a journalist or analyst position.
