The Asian Development Bank Institute (ADBI) is seeking a full-time consultant to support the production of e-learning courses on diverse topics related to sustainable development of economies. The consultant will work under the day-to-day supervision of the ADBI Deputy Head of Capacity Building and Training department and Senior Economist, who serves as the task manager, and will also report to the Deputy Dean of ADBI.
Responsibilities
- Strategically plan the production of timely and impactful ADBI E-Learning courses and programs on sustainable development priorities of economies in Asia and the Pacific and for general learners and policy makers, respectively (topic selection, identification of experts to produce content) in coordination with the ADBI task manager
- Support the production of e-learning courses (scheduling, technical arrangements, content production, content editing, standards compliance, promotion) in coordination with ADBI colleagues and content contributors, including those co-organized with external partners.
- Regularly track and report ADBI E-Learning course user data.
- Support budget decisions and payments for the E-Learning courses.
- Develop strategic partnerships with various organizations, universities, research partners and collaborate with professional staffs and other colleagues to develop content.
- Provide Learning Management System (LMS) support and work in alignment with the Web Project Consultant to upload content
- In collaboration with the Web Project Consultant, upgrade the ADBI E-Learning webpage, including backend and interface, to improve user experience.
Selection Criteria
- Bachelorโs degree or equivalent in education, educational technology, economics, public administration/policy, social sciences, finance, international development, international affairs/relations, or related field.
- At least 3 years of relevant professional experience.
- Strong knowledge and experience in e-learning content development and technology solutions.
- Advanced level in Articulate 360 and Microsoft Office 365 applications
- Excellent communication skills, including strong oral and written English, to be able to edit e-learning coursesโ content.
- Able to manage projects, work well with a team, and reliably meet deadlines.
- Able to work well independently and as a constructive team member.
- Excellent organization, intercultural, and interpersonal skills
Appointment Terms
The position starts with a one-year contract with a possibility for renewal based on performance and ADBIโs needs for the position. The consultant serves as an independent contractor in a personal capacity, he/she is neither an officer nor staff of ADBI. ADBI provides a base salary and leave benefits but not social insurances. He/she will work under the direct supervision of ADBI professional staff.
