Direct the organizationโs business and proposal development process to ensure internal client satisfaction, high quality and effectiveness of the organizationโs business and proposal development process, adherence to internal standards and guidelines, and compliance with requirements of external funders. Inspire team members to excel in managing relationships across the organization that are critical to the success of a centralized proposal development process and collaborate effectively with senior management in facilitating external partnerships and teaming agreements. Plays an important role in the development of country and regional Business Opportunity Plans in concert with Country and Regional Directors, Global Portfolio Management and technical teams in headquarters.
Accountabilities:
Creates and implements annual business and proposal development plans to achieve the organizationโs international and global goals.
Works with operations management globally to ensure clear understanding of the organizationโs proposal bidding methodology processes, rules, and responsibilities.
Participates in the ongoing review and update of the organizationโs proposal development and business development procedures to ensures consistency on an international basis.
Ensures teams develop winning strategies, project plans, donor interactions, proposal creation, and presentations.
Applied Knowledge & Skills:
Strong knowledge with USAID and other funderโs strategies and regulations.
Expert level knowledge and past experience with business development practices and reporting guidelines.
Provides innovative and strategic leadership to multiple divisions and is able to gain cross-functional support for major projects, improvements or changes.
Strong knowledge of concepts, practices and procedures; the ability to apply that knowledge in varied situations.

Education:
Bachelor's Degree or International Equivalent in Business Administration, Human Development, Social Science or Related Field.
Experience:
Typically requires a minimum of 8 years industry experience.
Must have a minimum of 5 yearsโ experience in a leadership capacity.
Experience in Program Management and one or more areas of human development.
Experience in the development field in resource scheduling, managing timelines, and leading team activities required.
Prior budget and management responsibility required.
Managing professional staff or comparable team management experience required.
Substantial consultative experience within a Non-Governmental Organization (NGO).
Preferred Education and/or Experience:
Masterโs degree in business or human development from an accredited institution, or their international equivalents.

The expected US Based hiring salary range for this role is listed below. Candidate FHI 360 pay ranges represent national averages that vary by geographic location. When determining an offer amount, FHI 360 factors in multiple considerations, including but not limited to: relevant years of experience and education possessed by the applicant, internal equity, business sector, and budget.
Base salary is only one component of our offer. FHI 360 contributes 12% of monthly base pay to a money purchase pension plan account. Additionally, all US based staff working full-time, which is calculated at 40 hours/week, receive 18 days of paid vacation per year, 12 sick days per year, and 11 holidays per year. Paid time off is reduced pro rata for employees working less than a full-time schedule.
US Based Hiring Salary Range: $128,000 - $170,000
International hiring ranges will differ based on location.
