Mission and objectivesThe United Nations Volunteers (UNV) programme contributes to peace and development through volunteerism worldwide. We work with partners to integrate qualified, highly motivated and well supported UN Volunteers into development programming and promote the value and global recognition of volunteerism. UNV is administered by the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) and reports to the UNDP/UNFPA/UNOPS Executive Board. At the country level, UNV Field Units interact with UN entities to strategically and meaningfully integrate volunteerism into the implementation and delivery of their mandates. As part of this process, UNV works with UN entities to identify opportunities where volunteers add specific and unique value to development programmes and peacekeeping missions.
ContextThis OV assignment is part of the UN Volunteers, Pakistan country officesโ efforts to both promote volunteerism and mobilize volunteers, as per its mandate. The country office aims to ensure that potential volunteers are made aware of the various volunteering opportunities and application channels available to them. Note: The onboarded OV will be based remotely and will not be hosted at any duty station or field office by the United Nations.
Task DescriptionUnder the day-to-day direct supervision of the Coordination Support Assistant at the UNV Pakistan Country Office, the Online Volunteer (OV) will design a simple, single, half fold leaflet (landscape orientation) on an A4 sized page. Note: The onboarded candidate will be provided with the entire content and associated guidance for the design. Note: The deadline for the final submission (in A4, print ready, PDF format) is 22 Oct 2025.
