The Opportunity:
The Deputy Chief of Party (DCoP) will support the Chief of Party (CoP) in leading and managing a number of staffs at the two regional levels to support the delivery of quality and integrated programming in line with the organizational standards, frameworks and procedures, and ensure proper internal control and risk management.
As the DCoP, you will be supervised directly by the CoP and will at times be required to take on the responsibilities of the CoP in his/her absence.
The Individual/About You:
As the DCoP, you will be a member of the Global Fund Project Management Team and expected to contribute to operational implementation and strategic direction of the project. You will also deputize for the CoP as required and if needed in relation to external stakeholders.
You will also oversee the planning and execution of the Detailed Implementation Plan (DIP), as well as requisite project forecasting and liaising with the M&E Manager on implementation details
To best meet up with your objectives, the below will be of key value to you:
Promotes high performance; Competence in program management, policy making, planning and monitoring; Conscientious and efficient in observing deadlines, achieving results; Accountability for goals and challenges; Coaches and leads others and actively develops own team; Advanced university degrees (Doctor of Medicine and/or Masters of Public Health or program administration); At least 05 years progressively responsible working experience in project/program development and implementation, management, and strategic planning, monitoring and evaluation. Work experience particularly in community health is desirable;
