CARE Somalia is seeking a dynamic and results-driven Deputy Chief of Party (DCOP) to join our USAID-funded Somalia Accelerated Education Activity (AEA) . This groundbreaking five-year initiative aims to equip over 67,000 marginalized, out-of-school children and youth with the foundational skills they need to transition into further education and sustainable livelihoods. Role Summary As DCOP, you will work hand-in-hand with the Chief of Party (COP) to lead this ambitious program, ensuring high-quality implementation, fostering partnerships, and driving measurable results. This role is pivotal to the programโ€™s success, blending strategic leadership, technical expertise, and operational excellence. Key Responsibilities Program Design, Development and Implementation : Oversee the design, planning, and delivery of impactful program strategies aligned with USAID objectives. Program Quality, Knowledge Management, and Learning : Ensure program activities are evidence-based, meet technical standards, and comply with USAID regulations. Program Quality, Knowledge Management, and Learning : Foster a culture of continuous improvement by capturing lessons learned and sharing best practices. Capacity Building : Strengthen the skills of team members, partners, and stakeholders to deliver high-quality outcomes. Representation and Communication :Build and maintain collaborative relationships with USAID, government counterparts, partners, and beneficiaries. Team Management : Provide leadership and mentorship to program staff, creating an inclusive, results-oriented work environment. Other Responsibilities: Assist the COP in overseeing program budgets, financial management, and resource allocation. Ensure compliance with donor rules, regulations, and CARE policies, including safeguarding and ethical conduct. Why Join Us?
