serving as a Corporate Partnerships Officer as part of the Corporate and Foundation Partnerships Teamโ€™s efforts deepening relationships with and raising revenue from private institutional donors. The ideal candidate is an experienced mid-career professional with over three years of direct fundraising experience and an understanding of the corporate social responsibility landscape. The Corporate Partnerships Officer will liaise with internal and external stakeholders to build a robust pipeline of donors who can support our global mission, innovative programing, and emergency response. The Corporate Partnerships Officer will support the identification, cultivation, stewardship, and strategic development of a current portfolio of corporate partners with an annual giving range of $10,000-$100,000. This position will report to the Managing Director, Corporate & Foundation Partnerships.

The ideal candidate is someone who cares deeply about ending hunger and improving the lives of food insecure communities. She/he/they are collaborative, adaptive, and a creative thinker with a broad understanding of related corporate fundraising vehicles: workplace-giving, affinity groups, cause marketing, philanthropic commitments, and event sponsorship support. She/he/they possess advanced research and writing skills and an ability to synthesize programmatic data and prospect research into persuasive pitches that can distill complex international development challenges and programs into simplified concepts for a wide audience. She/he/they are a diligent worker, a self-starter capable of working independently. She/he/they can make face-to-face or virtual asks directly to donors and is a comfortable public speaker.

Purpose: Prospect new corporate partners as well as manage a portfolio of existing corporate partners. Design a short, medium, and long-term plan to grow the corporate portfolio and deepen partnerships through strategic engagement.

Engagement: Engages with external stakeholders, primarily corporate donor representatives and leadership. In addition, some internal communications are required with External Relations colleagues, international field staff and Action Against Hungerโ€™s global network. Some engagement is also required with various consultants/contractors.

Delivery: The Corporate Partnerships Officer works within the External Relations Department under the supervision of the Managing Director of Corporate & Foundation Partnerships.

Key activities in your role will include

  2. Prospecting & Relationship Building (40%)

  3. Research funding trends and priorities of potential corporate partners
  4. Develop solicitation strategies and roadmaps to establish new relationships
Draft compelling donor communications and outreach Participate in industry and networking groups to remain abreast of current CSR funding trends and opportunities Manage internal engagement with External Relations Team to coordinate strategy with AAH Leadership, Board and Network Maintain an understanding of current programmatic needs and remain up to date on regional and international development issues

Cultivation, Solicitation and Stewardship (40%) Maintain and steward a portfolio of corporate funders with a donation capacity of up to $100k annually Execute fundraising asks to new and existing corporate partners Solicit and execute event sponsorships in support of a semi-annual gala or other events as needed. On occasion, coordinate corporate asks and stewardship with Board and Advisory Council members Oversee the creation of supportive collateral for stewardship and solicitation efforts in coordination with Communications and Marketing Teams and Consultants Draft proposals, reports, and concept notes to support corporate asks and stewardship Support annual planning forecasting efforts Represent AAH at corporate engagement events

Global Network and Regional Office Engagement (10%) Maintain strong relations with the Regional Action Against Hunger Program Office in Nairobi, Kenya as well as program country offices in Kenya, Haiti, Somalia, South Sudan, Ethiopia, Uganda, Tanzania, and Zambia. Build knowledge of Action Against Hunger programs as well as current funding needs Serve as a generalist expert and resource for the larger External Relations Team on topics related to Nutrition, WASH, Emergency Response and Food Security by internalizing the latest research findings, industry reports, and Action Against Hunger programmatic updates. Maintain strong relations with global network counterparts in France, Spain, Canada, UK, Germany, India, and Italy. Represent the US office in related internal meetings and events related to corporate fundraising.

Portfolio Analysis, Database Management and Administration (10%) Maintain accurate and up-to-date account management records in CRM as well as Airtable Tracker system. Working with the Fundraising Systems Team, build informative reports on corporate fundraising efforts, progress-to-date, and pipeline development. Provide regular report-outs on fundraising progress to Managing Director, Corporate & Foundation Partnerships as well as occasional report-outs to the wider External Relations Team and the Action Against Hunger Global Network. V. Physical Demands

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to sit for long periods and to concentrate on work, including typing, and turn out heavy volumes of work accurately, within short time frames under stressful situations in the context of a moderately noisy office with interruptions. To travel to the field, the employee must attest to a level of physical fitness capable of enduring physically difficult, highly stressful situations which may include the necessity to walk long distances, to eat a limited diet and/or to reside in potentially uncomfortable housing or tents. VI. Working Conditions, Travel and Environment

The duties of the job require regular job attendance at least five days per week. Must be available to work outside normal office hours or on the weekends as required by contact with the missions, mission security, or other obligations. Must be able to travel as required for standard domestic and international business travel as well as to the missions if appropriate. While visiting the field, the employee may be exposed to precarious settings under high security risks and/or very basic living conditions and outside weather conditions, as well is to infectious diseases.

Successful fundraising track-record of receiving $25,000+ donations from corporate partners 3+ years of fundraising experience in the US market with an emphasis on prior corporate fundraising experience Strong writing background Strong research background Understanding of corporate social responsibility concepts and funding mechanisms Some domestic and international travel will be required Prior experience with cause marketing campaigns a plus Prior marketing/communications experience a significant plus Familiarity with international development issues (malnutrition, water access, sustainable livelihoods, etc.) Familiarity with multilateral and USG funding system a plus Familiarity with Raisers Edge database system a plus French/Spanish speaker a plus
