Corporate Affairs Advisory Consultant

IDB Invest, a member of the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB) Group, is a multilateral organization based in Washington, D.C. committed to the development of Latin America and the Caribbean through the private sector. As part of its mission, IDB Invest supports the private sector and state-owned enterprises through financing in the form of loans, equity investments, and guarantees. IDB Invest also supports and collaborates with clients through the provision of advisory and training services.

The Department of Strategy and Developmentโ€™s (DSP) primary role is to lead IDB Invest efforts to create, implement and sustain its strategic vision and achieve development impact and additionality. DSP delivers on Development Effectiveness, Strategic Planning and Knowledge, Social Environmental and Governance, Advisory Services, and Corporate Affairs.

Corporate Affairs (DSP/CAT) is responsible for: (i) promoting, developing and coordinating Management relationship with key governance and oversight bodies within the IDB Group; (ii) outreach and dialogue with partners in the development community, including MDBs, DFIs and other international organizations; (iii) implementation of IDB Investโ€™s Access to Information (ATI) Policy and promoting transparency in our operations; and (iv) strategic advice to the Chief Strategy Officer and serving as front office for DSP. The team is led by the Director, Strategy Advisor and Head of Corporate Affairs and Transparency.

About this position:

The consultant will provide support to the front office in different aspect of the Corporate Affairs Function and in strategic initiatives such as the Amazonas Initiative.
