Consultant, Talent Acquisition & HR Associate

This is a 3-month consulting role which can be based in any of the countries in Africa in which WRI is registered as well as the Netherlands. Existing work authorization is required at the time of application.

Program Overview:

WRI Africa generates actionable knowledge across three strategic pillars: vital landscapes, thriving and resilient cities, and institutional and economic transformation. https://www.wri.org/wri-africa

WRI Operations team supports the crucial front-line work of the organization, they directly interact and work with Donors, Partners, Government agencies, Statutory bodies, Trustees, Vendors, and Consultants in fielding their inquiries, providing support at all the fronts and solving problems. So that the WRI programs can be implemented without any hurdles and the program staff and researchers can develop high quality research documents, plans and implement the programs at the field level.

WRI Operations team strive for operational excellence across all functions starting with the recruitment, retention, and management of WRIโ€™s staff, our most important asset. We manage our endowment, the contributions entrusted to us, and our facilities in ways that are in line with our values and advance our mission. We maintain strict budgetary planning and financial controls to ensure that all contributions are managed in compliance with donorsโ€™ wishes.

Job highlights

As a Talent Acquisition and HR Associate, you will play an integral role in providing support to our Talent Acquisition team and our staff located throughout the region. In this role, you will have the opportunity to support the hiring of talent for WRI with employees who will make a measurable difference in our organization and the environment. You will work closely with the Talent Acquisition Manager for Europe and Africa based in the Netherlands. You will support Africa-based searches.

You will work with the TA and HR teams in WRI Europe and WRI Africa Offices.

Ideally, you would be available full-time during core work hours though we would also consider a minimum availability of three days/week for an initial period of 3 months.
