Purpose / Project Description

The purpose of this project is to leverage the expertise of a Product Manager Consultant to review and translate breakthrough components outlined in the product manifesto into a comprehensive 3-year roadmap. The consultant will play a pivotal role in post-MVP planning, focusing on breakthrough component planning. Additionally, the consultant will oversee the implementation of agile development methodologies to ensure adaptability and flexibility in the product development process.

Objective

The consultant will collaborate closely with the Director of Tech & Growth and cross-functional teams, facilitate a design sprint workshop, and conduct analyses to understand the potential impact of breakthrough components and define post MVP product requirements. They will define a roadmap, and prioritize initiatives based on user value, technical effort and business impact. The consultant will also establish clear timelines and milestones for planning and execution.

Consultant Deliverables

  1. Develop a draft Work Plan that supports the delivery of the items listed below.

  2. Product Manifesto: Provide a comprehensive review of the existing product manifesto. Present insights and observations and offer recommendations for refining or enhancing the manifesto to better align with the strategic objectives of MicroMentor and the product.

  3. Design Sprint Execution: Conduct design sprints for 2-3 of the identified breakthrough components (1.MM Methodology, 2.Product Led Growth, 3. B2B, 4.AI). Facilitate collaborative sessions to ideate, prototype, and validate solutions. Provide documentation summarizing the outcomes of the design sprint, including actionable next steps for implementation.

  4. Roadmap Documentation & Implementation: Present a comprehensive 3-year roadmap document outlining prioritized breakthrough components. Oversee the implementation of the post MVP Road Map throughout the execution of this 6 months project. Deliver a monthly update report with resources and milestones achieved.

    This SOW outlines the purpose, key objectives, and expected deliverables for the Product Manager Consultant, ensuring a structured and collaborative approach to post-MVP planning and the implementation of breakthrough components.

    Timeframe / Schedule:

    Estimated 15 hours of service a week.

    Required Experience & Skills:

    • 5-10 years of experience in relevant technical field (required)

    • Proven track record as a Product Manager with experience in developing and implementing product roadmaps.

    • Strong understanding of breakthrough components in product development.

    • Familiarity with post-MVP planning and agile development methodologies.

    • Ability to align product initiatives with strategic objectives.

    • Experience in refining or enhancing product manifestos to ensure alignment with organizational goals.

    • Excellent collaboration skills to work closely with the Director of Tech & Growth and cross-functional teams.

    • Strong communication skills to facilitate design sprint workshops and present insights effectively.

    • Demonstrated expertise in conducting design sprints for breakthrough components.

    • Ability to lead collaborative sessions for ideation, prototyping, and solution validation.

    • Proven experience in developing comprehensive 3-year roadmaps.

    • Skill in prioritizing breakthrough components within the roadmap.
