Program Overview

WRI Indonesiaโ€™s e-mobility portfolio focuses on reducing citiesโ€™ GHG emission through sustainable transportation, vehicle electrification and, in-paralel with the energy and climate programs, greening the electricity grid to reach optimum emission reduction. Our mission is to help cities and provinces to implement low carbon development, particularly in transportation and energy sectors, to achieve economic, social, and environmental goals.

Supply Side Regulation

To achieve this mission, WRI Indonesia collaborates with the government, industry players, and other private sector stakeholders to develop strategies for implementing robust demand- and supply-side measures for zero-emission mobility adoption. In this particular project, WRI Indonesia will work with the government and key partners to assess and implement the Supply Side Regulation (SSR) strategy for the transition to zero-emission mobility in Indonesia.

The SSR strategy will cover interventions including, but not limited to, ZEV (Zero-Emission Vehicle) sales mandates, fuel efficiency standards, COโ‚‚ emission standards, and credit trading mechanisms. This will be accomplished through unbiased technical research, comprehensive data collection, stakeholder and expert consultations, and cross-country knowledge exchanges. Through the implementation of this project, WRI Indonesia aims to support the Indonesian government in achieving its e-mobility targets while contributing to the realization of transport decarbonization goals.

Job Highlight

The Automotive Industry Analyst will have a role in conducting technical research on the automotive industry from both global and local perspectives. He/She will work with Specialist and other analysts on the team to support the implementation of knowledge development on automotive-related topics to assess trends, opportunities, and challenges faced by the automotive industry in relation to the implementation of Supply Side Regulation (SSR).

In this role, the Automotive Industry Analyst will work under the direction and supervision of WRI Indonesiaโ€™s Urban Mobility Manager, with support from other specialists on the team. The position is based in Jakarta with a flexible office arrangement and may require frequent travel as needed.
