Project Context and Scope ย As migration trends around the world are increasingly complex, governments look at adapting their migration policies in line with SDG target 10.7 that calls for safer, more orderly and more regular migration through well-managed migration policies. In this context, IOM Angola will work with the Angolan government to assess existing migration policies, identify good practices that can shared with other governments, and identify areas that could be further developed. To do so, IOM Angola will use the Migration Governance Indicators (MGI) methodology, a consultative, government-owned process that helps states complete a policy diagnostic. IOM Angola will then work with the government to build their capacity on some of the areas emerging as priorities through this assessment. This will also be an opportunity to start developing its new country strategy based on the results of the MGI.
