1. Background and Context
The United Nations World Food Programme (WFP) is the worldโs largest humanitarian agency fighting hunger worldwide. In the Republic of Congo, WFP supports vulnerable populations through nutrition, resilience-building, school feeding, and emergency response programmes.
To strengthen operational information management and performance reporting, the Country Office seeks to recruit an Assistant to support the consolidation and presentation of programme results. This role contributes to the establishment of a standard operating picture that facilitates informed and timely decision-making at all levels of the organization.
The incumbent will work under the overall supervision of the Country Director, with direct supervision from the Head of Partnerships, Reporting & Communications Unit, and in close collaboration with Heads of Units and Sub-Offices.
2. Purpose of the Assignment
The Operational Information Management and Performance Reporting Assistant will support the implementation of WFPโs reporting standards and contribute to the production of high-quality reports, briefs, and visual materials that reflect programme achievements. The role ensures alignment with donor requirements and the countryโs communications and partnerships strategy.
3. Key Responsibilities
- Operational Information Management
- Support staff in applying standard OIM and Performance Reporting procedures and templates.
- Ensure consistency and quality in data collection and reporting across the Country Office.
- Compile operational data from programme, logistics, and field teams.
- Maintain and update reporting dashboards, trackers, and databases.
- Reporting and Documentation
- Assist in preparing Country Office reports including SITREPs, monthly Country Brief, Annual Country Report (ACR), donor reports, and activity leaflets.
- Assist in drafting donor reports, situation updates, and internal briefs.
- Prepare visual content (infographics, charts, presentations) to complement narrative reporting.
- Contribute to the development of standardized templates and reporting formats.
- Support the Communications and Partnerships team in drafting talking points, briefing kits, and funding proposals in coordination with relevant units and field offices.
- Meeting Support
- Ensure accurate and consistent records of key meetings.
- Draft high-quality summaries and reports of discussions and decisions.
- Data Monitoring and Analysis
- Monitor regular sources of information (NGOs, media, surveys, field reports) to inform senior management decision-making.
- Collate and disseminate political and humanitarian analysis relevant to WFP operations and donor trends.
- Ensure proper archiving of reports, visibility materials, and photographs.
- Interagency Collaboration
- Liaise with internal counterparts and UN agencies to ensure consistency in humanitarian information and complement WFP analysis.
- Other Duties
- Perform any other tasks as required by the supervisor.
4. Qualifications and Experience
- Education:
- Baccalaurรฉat or equivalent Level required.
- A university degree or โLicence professionnelleโ in Information Management, Journalism, International Development, International Relations, Political Science, Economics, Social Sciences, or Communication is an asset.
- Experience:
- Minimum of 3 years of professional experience in reporting, communications, or information management.
- Strong writing and editing skills in English and French.
- Proficiency in MS Office (especially Excel and PowerPoint); knowledge of data visualization tools (Power BI, Canva, etc.) is an asset.
- Experience in humanitarian or development contexts is desirable.
5. Languages
- Fluency in French and English (Level C) is required.

- Excellent analytical, negotiation, and advocacy abilities.
- Proven capacity to engage with diverse stakeholders, including humanitarian actors and government counterparts.
