The Cash and Medical Assistance (CMA) Benefits Coordinator is responsible for managing the intake process for clients enrolled in the Refugee Cash and Medical Assistance program. This program provides comprehensive services and conducts activities that are funded by the Kansas Office for Refugees (KSOR), Refugee Cash Assistance (RCA) Refugee Medical Screening (RMS) and/or Refugee Medical Assistance (RMA) programs as outlined in federal regulations and the Medical Replacement Designee (MRD) as applicable. The CMA Coordinator also oversees administrative and client financials, program reporting, and client file upkeep. The CMA Coordinator is responsible for Managing CMA employees whether on-site or virtual. This position reports to the Kansas City Site Manager.
Responsibilities
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
โข Manage the Refugee Cash Assistance program and Refugee Medical Assistance program, ensuring appropriate participation, culturally appropriate and timely services, program compliance, and documentation of files.
โข Conduct case file reviews to ensure compliance with funding requirements.
โข May provide direct client services as needed.
โข Collaborate closely with program funder.
โข Satisfy reporting requirements.
โข Other duties as assigned.
Job Requirements:
Education: Bachelorโs degree in social work or related field of study strongly preferred.
Work Experience:
โข 3 yearsโ relevant professional experience in human services field required.
โข Experience working with refugee and/or immigrant populations strongly preferred.
Demonstrated Skills & Competencies:
โข Strong relationship building, diplomacy, and networking skills; ability to effectively build internal and external relationships.
โข Demonstrated ability to promote an organizational culture that reflects IRCโs core values of service, accountability, integrity, and equality.

โข Self-starter with excellent problem-solving skills combined with the proven ability to multi-task, prioritize duties, and manage time effectively.

โข Fluent in Spanish and/or other languages, both spoken and written; proficiency in language(s) spoken by client group is desired.
โข Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook); ability to use the internet and other digital tools for data entry, research and problem-solving purposes.
โข Valid driverโs license and access to a personal, insured vehicle.
Working Environment:
โข A combination of standard office environment, remote work, and โfieldโ time within the service delivery area to perform the above outlined responsibilities.
โข May require occasional weekend and/or evening work
Compensation: (Pay Range: $25.20 - $26.67) Posted pay ranges apply to US-based candidates. Ranges are based on various factors including the labor market, job type, internal equity, and budget. Exact offers are calibrated by work location, individual candidate experience and skills relative to the defined job requirements.
