Job Overview:

The Case Management Assistant supports Extended Caseworkers in reducing barriers to self-sufficiency for refugee and immigrant clients in the PRIME (Promoting Refugee Integration, Mobility, and Empowerment) project. This role provides both administrative and direct service support to vulnerable populations, including single-headed households, survivors of domestic and gender-based violence, older refugees, and youth. The Assistant works closely with staff and clients to ensure timely, effective services that promote autonomy, empowerment, and long-term stability.

Major Responsibilities:

Casework and Client Support

Support Extended Caseworkers in managing caseloads, tracking progress, and maintaining accurate client records in the Efforts to Outcomes (ETO) database. Assist clients in navigating healthcare, housing, and public benefits systems, ensuring they understand their rights and responsibilities. Collaborate with Extended Caseworkers to develop individualized self-sufficiency plans and provide follow-up support. Triage urgent client needs and escalates to Extended Caseworkers or supervisor as appropriate.

Administrative and Logistical Support

Schedule and coordinate client appointments with healthcare, public benefits, and other service providers. Prepare and distribute orientation and self-sufficiency materials under staff guidance. Maintain resource lists by conducting outreach to external service providers.

Compliance and Learning

Stay up to date on internal policies, procedures, and program protocols to ensure compliance. Participate in team meetings, training, and case conferences to remain informed on best practices. Attend all PRIME-required training and apply content in client services.

Other

Supervise interns and/or volunteers assigned to support cases, if any. Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor.

Position Supervises: Interns and volunteers related to cases.

Job Requirements:

High school diploma or equivalent required; additional coursework or certification in social services, public health, or related fields preferred. Minimum of 1 year of experience in social services, refugee resettlement, or case management support roles. Lived experience as a refugee or immigrant, or experience working with refugees and vulnerable populations, strongly preferred. Proficiency in a second language in particular immigrant and refugee languages are highly preferred. Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and responsibilities. Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work in diverse and multi-cultural environments. Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook) and the ability to use digital tools for research and data entry. Valid driverโ€™s license and access to reliable transportation. Commitment to equity, anti-racism, and inclusive practices.

Working Environment***:***

Standard, professional office environment (flexible remote and in-office) May require occasional weekend and/or evening work.

Compensation: (Pay Range: $25.00-$27.00) Posted pay ranges apply to US-based candidates. Ranges are based on various factors including the labor market, job type, internal equity, and budget. Exact offers are calibrated by work location, individual candidate experience and skills relative to the defined job requirements.
