As part of the External Relations and Governance Department (ERG), the Global Engagement, Partnership and Resource Mobilization (GPR) Division has a specific focus on global engagement, partnerships (including with the private sector, foundations, bilateral and multilateral organizations), and on driving the resource mobilization efforts with traditional and non-traditional donors and partners. Within this framework, the GPR Division addresses three main functions: (i) Global engagement and multilateral relations; (ii) South-South and Triangular Cooperation (SSTC); and (iii) replenishment, resource mobilization and advocacy.
Key Functions and Results ย
Under the guidance and supervision of the GPR Senior Partnership Officer, the incumbent will support the divisionโs global engagement unit in achieving its key deliverables for 2023 and 2024.
The purpose of the Partnership Analyst position is to deepen collaboration with key external and internal stakeholders and provide an interface for environmental scanning, knowledge exchange, resource mobilization, and policy influence within the scope of assignment. S/He may also serve as focal point and resource for team and broader GPR colleagues on specific thematic areas of strategic relevance for partnership development. The key result is to ensure greater visibility and influence for IFAD.
Specifically, the incumbent will work in close coordination with senior GPR colleagues to perform the following tasks:
- Stategic Planning and monitoring of IFAD global engagements:
- porting to EMC on results and lessons learned from 2022 engagements
- Support the planning and prioritization for 2023, based on interdepartmental discussions and agreement with EMC
- Structured approach to developing IFADโs messages at global events, in collaboration with COM and SKD
- G20 process
- Support the coordination of IFADโs engagement with the Brazilย Presidency through (1) strategic outreach to relevant ministries, in collaboration with country office, for inclusion in the main working groups, (2) preparation of material about IFADโs offer on the main themes of the Brazil presidency; (3) participating IFAD in working group meetings; and (4) secure strong role for IFAD senior management at ministerial meetings.
