Project Context and Scope
Under the direct supervision and the guidance from the Chief Medical Officer (CMO) for technical matters and the overall supervision of Chief of Mission (COM) for administrative matters, the incumbent will be responsible to provide embassy requested pulmonology consultation as per the country specific guideline and protocol as directed by the concerned Migration Health Physician (MHP).    Organizational Department / Unit to which the Consultant is contributing MHD-Lahore Tasks to be performed under this contract

  1. Give the appointment of IOM clients within a week.
  2. Provide Pulmonologist consultation by review provided CXR images along with radiologist report and received requested embassy referral letter with other relevant investigations
  3. Perform proper counselling, history taking, physical examination and advise for further related non-invasive investigations if needed, as per the country specific guidelines with the coordination of concerned MHP.
  4. Provide details online report with the define time frame i.e. 2 weeks or if need more time coordinate with MHP / HSO
  5. When there is a need for further investigation, write the recommendation after discussing the findings with concerned panel physician
  6. Coordinate and communicate with the HFO/MHP for any second opinion or reporting.
  7. Perform any other related task as needed.
      Performance indicators for the evaluation of results:
    • Tangible and measurable output of the work assignment. Coordinate with MHP and Admin for quality reporting, smooth workflow and timely clerical work like sending online reports as well as delivery of physical reporting.  
    • Realistic delivery dates and details as to how the work must be delivered.

      Provide monthly billing details with the information of number of consultations conducted at the end of each month and before the 71h day of the next month.   Education

    • MBBS with post graduate qualification in internal medicines/Respiratory medicines Experience
    • Minimum 3 years post qualification experience in pulmonologist consultation.
    • Experience in data analysis and management an advantage Skills
    • Ability to report the cases in the time frame and quality.
    • Computer literacy Languages
    • English, Urdu & Punjabi IOM’s official languages are English, French and Spanish. Proficiency of language(s) required will be specifically evaluated during the selection process, which may include written and/or oral assessments.   Travel required
