Organizational Setting

The Division of Information Technology provides support to the IAEA in the field of information and communication technology (ICT), including information systems for technical programmes and management. It is responsible for planning, developing and implementing an ICT strategy, for setting and enforcing common ICT standards throughout the Secretariat and for managing central ICT services. The IAEA's ICT infrastructure comprises hardware and software platforms, and cloud and externally-hosted services. The Division has implemented an IT service management model based on ITIL (IT Infrastructure Library) and Prince2 (Projects in a Controlled Environment) best practices.The Client Services Section (CSS) is responsible for setting standards, providing first and second level support of the IAEA's desktop computing environment, delivery of the IAEA's IT training programme and promoting client oriented services. It designs, manages and implements desktop services, including their architecture, processes and policies to meet current and future business requirements. It aims at achieving the delivery of agreed levels of services to clients in compliance with best practices defined by international standards, in particular ITIL.

Main Purpose

The Associate M365 Platform Specialist supports the governance, operation, and continuous improvement of selected Microsoft 365 workloads, including the Power Platform (Power Automate, Power Apps, Copilot Studio), Power BI, Microsoft Teams, OneDrive for Business, and SharePoint Online. Working under the guidance of senior specialists, the role contributes to the effective use of these services to enhance productivity and support business needs.

Role

The Associate M365 Platform Specialist is 1) a service enabler, supporting the effective use of Microsoft 365 toolsโ€”including Power Platform, Power BI, Teams, OneDrive, and SharePoint Onlineโ€”by assisting users, resolving issues, and contributing to solution development, 2) a collaborator, working closely with internal clients and senior IT staff to understand business needs, support the implementation of digital solutions, and ensure alignment with governance and operational standards, 3) a knowledge contributor, helping to maintain documentation, training materials, and user guides, while promoting best practices and continuous improvement in the use of Microsoft 365 services.

Functions / Key Results Expected

Minimum of two years of relevant experience in the IT domains indicated above especially in connection of Microsoft 365 Platform and environment.

Knowledge of ITIL processes as well as the best practice of Project Management such as Prince2 is desirable.

Excellent oral and written command of English.ย 

Knowledge of other official IAEA languages (Arabic, Chinese, French, Russian and Spanish) is an asset.

Remuneration

The IAEA offers an attractive remuneration package including a tax-free annual net base salary starting at US $55163 (subject to mandatory deductions for pension contributions and health insurance), a variable post adjustment which currently amounts to US $ 29457*, dependency benefits, rental subsidy, education grant, relocation and repatriation expenses; Other benefits include 6 weeks' annual leave, home leave travel, pension plan and health insurance. Appointment information

Appointment is subject to a satisfactory medical report.Staff members may be assigned to any location.Candidates appointed to posts in the Professional and higher categories are subject to IAEA rotation policy and their maximum tour of service shall normally be seven years.The IAEA retains the discretion not to make any appointment to this vacancy, to make an appointment at a lower grade or with a different contract type, or to make an appointment with a modified job description or for shorter duration than indicated above.
