FHI 360 is seeking a strategic and operations-minded professional to help shape and drive our engagement with top-priority funder accounts as part of the Account Management and Engagement (AME) team. This role plays a critical part in ensuring that account strategies are insight-driven, well-coordinated across departments, and executed in ways that advance organizational goals. The successful candidate will conduct in-depth funder and prospect research and contribute to stewardship effortsโgenerating strategic insights that inform Account Development Plans, positioning, and partnership engagement strategies. This Associate will play a central role in aligning cross-functional collaborators, keeping account-focused efforts on track and goal-oriented. They will help strengthen the infrastructure that supports account management, including facilitating key meetings, tracking progress against strategic milestones, and helping promote the effective use of our CRM system (Salesforce). While not responsible for managing the platform itself, they will help ensure data quality, support workflow improvements that enhance collaboration, and champion the use of CRM as a tool for strategic engagement. Job Summary:
An essential member of the Account Management and Engagement (AME) team, the Associate ensures that FHI 360โs engagement with high-priority funders is well-planned, insight-driven, and actively managed. The Associate provides strategic and operational support to cross-departmental teams by contributing to account planning, partner engagement strategies, and business development efforts. They gather and analyze market and client data, prepare presentations and proposals, support the cultivation of key external partnerships, and assist with client communications. The Associate also helps track progress against strategic goals and ensures account managers and sales leads have the timely insights, tools, and coordination needed to drive growth in target markets. Additionally, they promote accurate and effective use of the CRM system, helping maintain data quality and supporting workflow improvements that enhance collaboration across teams.
Accountabilities:
Strategic Research & Intelligence: Supports the growth of strategic funder and prospect accounts by conducting deep market research, gathering client insights, gathering lessons learned and helping translate these into actionable insights and recommendations.
Coordination & Planning: Ensures strong cross-departmental coordination and execution against strategic development plans including scheduling and supporting meetings, hosting internal planning sessions and external funder touchpoints. Tracks and ensures follow-up on action items.
External Communications: Leads and supports the development high-quality, client-facing pitches, proposals, briefing documents, and partnership concepts in coordination with cross-functional teams.
Internal Coordination & Communication: Coordinates across multiple internal stakeholders to ensure timely input to strategic account development activities and client stewardship.
CRM System & Documentation: Helps maintain up-to-date account records in Salesforce for specific accounts in the Associate's portfolio. Promotes accurate and effective use of the CRM system more widely.
Other duties may be assigned as the AME team and processes evolve.
Applied Knowledge & Skills:
Strong knowledge of fundamental concepts, practices, and procedures in business development with a preference for experience with Corporate and Foundation funders.
Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills, with the ability to research, analyze data and identify trends.
Excellent oral and written communication skills.
Ability to research, analyze data, surface trends or insights and prepare reports.
Ability to negotiate, influence, and collaborate with others.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and other relevant software tools for data analysis, reporting, and business planning. Preference for familiarity with Salesforce and comfort experimenting with new online tools.
Experience working with Corporate and Foundation funders and doing related research and account management is a plus.

Education:
Bachelor's Degree or its International Equivalent โข Business Administration, Public Health, Social Sciences or Related Field.
Experience:
5-8 years of experience with business development internationally and domestic.
Articulate, professional and able to communicate in a clear, positive manner with clients and staff.
Must be able to read, write, and speak fluent English.
Overseas work experience preferred.
Prior work experience in a non-governmental organization (NGO).

The expected US Based hiring salary range for this role is listed below. Candidates FHI 360 pay ranges represent national averages that vary by geographic location. When determining an offer amount, FHI 360 factors in multiple considerations, including but not limited to: relevant years of experience and education possessed by the applicant, internal equity, business sector, and budget.
Base salary is only one component of our offer. FHI 360 contributes 7% of monthly base pay to a money purchase pension plan account. Additionally, all US based staff working full-time, which is calculated at 40 hours/week, receive 18 days of paid vacation per year, 12 sick days per year, and 11 holidays per year. Paid time off is reduced pro rata for employees working less than a full-time schedule.
US Based Hiring Salary Range: USD 90,000 - USD 110,000
