Ashoka Italy and Switzerland are looking for an Operations and Finance manager Ashoka is the world's leading organization for Social Entrepreneurship and Changemaking. We are now seeking a full-time Finance & Operations manager responsible for developing and managing the systems and processes that keep our team and partnerships running efficiently and professionally. Being part of Ashoka means constantly working with other people in our large Global network to make things happen. We are currently looking for someone who can bring their personality in making operations at Ashoka smooth and strong, eager to connect with our Ashoka Fellows, young Changemakers, corporations, private funders, and innovators.

Responsibilities include:

General administration tasks of Ashoka Italy and Switzerland Care of the books of the organizations (with the support of a Global accounting team) Management of accounts payable, receivable, intercompany transfers and bookkeeping according to Ashokaʼs statutory policies and procedures, in coordination with external accounting firms; Management of suppliers, contracts and payments; Ensuring compliance with all Italian and Swiss relevant Laws (GDPR, fiscal law, VAT…); Preparation (if necessary) and verification of onerous and non-onerous contracts with Partners; Human Resources management (contracts, payroll, expense reimbursements); Providing guidance and supporting the team with Integrity/ GDPR-compliance matters. Support to Project Managers for administrative and financial management of projects; Support to Project Managers and staff in general for logistics and events organization; Relationship management with external consultants (accountants, legal advisors, payroll consultants etc. etc.). Frequent communication with other European and Global Ashoka teams. (Specific for Italy) support the ongoing transformation of the organization into a Third Sector Foundation and follow up of practices for registration with RUNTS;

Who can apply:

Essential skills:
Proven experience of at least 3 years in the area of administration and financial management of Non-Governmental Organizations in Italy and/or Switzerland; Knowledge of the Third Sector Reform (\"Riforma del Terzo Settore\") and the dynamics of a Third Sector Foundation; Basic knowledge of accounting and bookkeeping; Excellent knowledge of Italian and English (both spoken and written) and working knowledge of French;Hands-on and proactive attitude, ability to manage multiple projects and tasks; Ability to work independently, remotely, and spirit of initiative.
Highly desirable skills:
Previous experience in using: Salesforce (or other CRM system) and NetSuite;Knowledge of German is a plus.

Contract Details:

Duration: starting from January or February 2024 (onboarding), 2 months probationary period Commitment: full-time, 40H per week Type of contract: Limited term employment for 1 year (possibility to turn into a permanent contract after this period) Budget: to be evaluated according to the candidate's experience
