The Animal Health Specialist will support the implementation of activities to strengthen zoonotic and antimicrobial resistance (AMR) surveillance in animals for the anticipated USAID-funded Global Health Security project to enhance global health priorities in the Philippines with the general objective to prevent, detect, and respond rapidly and effectively to public health threats of international concern including naturally occurring outbreaks and intentional or accidental releases of dangerous pathogens. S/he will be responsible for strengthening the capacity and systems for zoonotic and AMR surveillance in the animal sector. **Position contingent upon award.
