The International Water Management Institute (IWMI), a CGIAR Research Center is looking for a competent, self-motivated, and dynamic candidate to join IWMI's office in New Delhi, India as Administrative and Finance Officer.

Working under the supervision of the Administrative & Finance manager \u2013 India, the Administrative and Finance officer will be responsible for performing a variety of finance and administrative related tasks, including the provision of support to budget management, financial accounting, account reconciliation, coordination with other units within the International Water Management Institute (IWMI) and assisting in the operational and administrative needs of the Administrative Coordinator - India. The Administrative and Finance Officer will mainly provide administrative support to the SDC SoLAR project leader and associated researchers in Delhi office and Country Representative on need basis.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Be the focal point for travel, budget, administration and financial and travel related support to SoLAR PL and entire SoLAR team. Specific tasks will include: Monitor all ongoing contracts along the following. Automated deliverable reminders to grantees with regular follow up. Carries out all tasks needed for partner audits. New contracts- takes care of all aspects of new contracts, including procuring legal and finance clearances as needed. Get regular updates from SAP \u2013 twice a month \u2013 check all entries and present budget updates to SoLAR PL. Help with project budget revisions as and when required. Calendar management. All invites for all SoLAR. events and any other related project to be managed by Administrative and Finance Officer Keeping track of deliverables and payment. Travel and event management Support in organizing meetings, workshops and conferences \u2013 including assistance in booking of venue, preparation of agenda, sending out invites, providing logistical support and local hospitality for participants, preparation and distribution of relevant material, and preparation of workshop reports. Provide support to research staff and consultants for SoLAR project in scheduling and planning field visits and travel, including tickets, visa, accommodation and other logistics. Finance \u2013 Look after daily transaction related to project, cross checking voucher and sending final invoice to Admin and Finance manager after taking proper approval from PL. Keep track of all contracts including consultancies, service contracts, etc. Regular (biweekly) budget updates in coordination with PMO and help with budget revisions. Assist in drafting of key project related letters, managing diaries, Preparing and distributing papers and documents for meetings, making appointments basic translation, set up contact database etc. Prepare ad-hoc reports as and when required. Providing secretarial services to SDC SoLAR Project Leader.

Requirements

MINIMUM EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

Masters degree in accounting, finance or a relevant field. At least 3 years of experience in working in international research organisations. KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED: Excellent understanding of accounting and financial reporting principles and practices. Excellent knowledge of MS Office (MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and familiarity with relevant computer software systems (e.g., SAP). Additional diploma courses on project management will be an added advantage. Effective listening skills, and excellent verbal and written communications skills in English. Excellent time management skills and the ability to prioritize work. Strong organization skills with the ability to multi-task. Attention to detail and problem-solving skills. Demonstrated service approach, and personal organizational and priority setting skills.

This is a nationally recruited position and only candidates who are eligible to work in New Delhi, India will be considered.
